Store in more languages / countries

Hi,

I runned 3 successful Shopify stores in Netherlands. Now I want to create a store but target other countries. Is that a good idea our better focus on just one country?

So far I only did Netherlands and Belgium.

Hope to get some input, so I can start fresh.

That depends on where you want to take this.

For example with Belgium and all other countries, when you start stocking you goods there or pass the threshold, you have to get a VAT number there. For Belgium, that's just 30K per year...

And then there's the support issue, where you have to have someone (can be yourself), who speaks the local language and can provide some support.

You should look at where your strengths are. In the local market and build more shops, or in the market of the product you are in and expand that to other countries.
We're in a niche ourselves, so expansion for us means a few more product groups and international expansion (we get more turnover abroad than we get from NL).
