Push Notification - GMail Calendar Alert

Hello Guys,

In the past days I seen on my private gmail account several alerts Google Calendar-like about an iPhone shipment (classical scam).

My questions is the following: how the publisher got my approval to ping me through calendar? It's a new kind of remarketing: I never seen stuff like this.

What's the Magic? Is there any tool to do it or what?

I attached the screenshot.

Doesn't look like calendar to me, just a regular email

"The truth is, all that a spammer needs to add an unwelcome appointment to your calendar is the email address tied to your calendar account. That’s because the calendar applications from Apple, Google and Microsoft are set by default to accept calendar invites from anyone."

in case you got an email with "invitation" somewhere even if it goes to spam you will get a notification about that automatically.
