How to get refund on Clickloss
I'm having an issue with one of my main push traffic sources where i spend quiet a lot of money... one of the camps that was running there "profitably" turned out to be actually loosing money due to a HEAVY clickloss of 70% (my normal clickloss for this geo is around 5%).
At the time of this camp i had around 30 simultaneous camps running, and didn't pay attention to this camp, since due to this amount of clickloss this campaign in my tracker looked like a small campaign thats getting small amount of clicks and actually making money.
It's only when I went to the traffic source to compare costs and found out that it cost me around $1000, instead of $270 recorded in my tracker.
Now whose fault is this, mine that I didn't check on the sources dashboard to identify the issue and pause it?? or the traffic sources, that charged me for this junk... at the end i'm the one that paid for it!
Now this is a source that i run a lot of my camps with, and usually i'm quite happy with their traffic, but this is 2nd time this happens, and I closed an eye the first time
How do you guys go about asking for a refund so it works out well for both sides? I understand that it might not entirely be their fault, but a pub that sent them junk traffic, but well I paid for it, and refund should be reasonable solution.

Probably a lot of fault going round
a) whatever source they are reselling the traffic from slamming bot traffic through
b) your push traffic source turning a blind eye to this as people are paying for it
c) you not knowing your adspend numbers and driving blind
I think it’s unlikely that you’ll get a refund, however it’s definelty worth presenting the evidence (clearly laid out and formatted, previous days etc) in a spreadsheet to your AM. They are likely pretty aware they are fucking you and will hopefully want to keep your business. This isn’t something that can be sorted out over Skype, you’ll need to present clear and convincing evidence they can share with the boss.
I tend to update campaign names in my tracker with the daily ad spend so I can easily sanity check numbers

Networks are not too keen on refunding clickloss, but you might stand a chance in case you can really prove that this was an isolated case, so to speak. SO check the other campaigns you are running with them and take screens, in case you can clearly demonstrate that this was totally out of the ordinary and even better if a specific pubid was responsible for this, you might get a refund.
Worth a shot, but keep your expectations low. They will most likely try to defend themselves with something like: "We are not responsible for what our publishers sell ... or ... we already paid this publishers and it's not possible to refund it anymore..." Been there a few times, in most cases I didn't get a refund, but in some cases it worked.

We are using FraudScore to track suspicious traffic.
We are sending the reports to traffic sources soon so let's see if we are able to get compensations.
I believe RedTrack has a built-in integration with FraudScore.

First, contact support. Get your reports ready to send and ask the click logs. Mention what heppend with all the proof you got, and hopefully you are dealing with a decent traffic source that cares more about the advertiser and the potential he has and not the immediate money they might "Lose"

RedTrack has a fraud detecting filter that is based on FraudScore data and uses 20+ parameters to identify bots. Fraud clicks fall into different categories, to name a few: clickspamming, cookie stuffing, hijacked device, known Botnets and Adware IPs, “proxied” connections, etc.
More on that here:
https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...-fraud-traffic
In addition, we have an API integration with FraudScore for those who have an account there.
Ping me if you want to know more or if you wanna test it free

In my experience the only credit you will get is a courtesy credit IF their feeling like it. I've had 60-70% clickloss on some campaigns where I was spending up to $20,000/day with that reputable traffic source and their response to a credit request was to instruct me to block that source ID even though the remaining 30-40% traffic that did come through was immensely profitable.
