To the moon with style: A programmer turned marketer using Vortex' Binom guide

Hey,

About me--
I program high-performance networking environments. Basically building out fast websites, data centers and other online stuff at scale. I've worked in the SaaS (software as a service) space, frontend, backend, whatever. Now I'm taking that knowledge, throwing in what Vortex can teach me, mixing it all up with a bit of hard work and putting it all out in the open.

Reading this--
Pending issues are underlined in red. They need to be addressed, or mean something is in the works, but I'll keep moving in the meantime. Once they're solved, I'll come back and remove the styling.

Day 1-9--
Signed up for PopAds (actually did this with the $1 guide), PropellerAds, Mobipium ($1 guide), Mobidea. Waiting to hear back from ClickDeals (update: rejected). Tried signing up for Gotzha but got a server error. I left a message for Gotzha and will try again later. Mobidea had a bunch of offers, chose 5, got auto-approved for 4 of them. Set up the log spreadsheet, signed up at Voluum for a free trial (note: switched to Binom on day 10). Set up a campaign for one of the Mobidea offers.

Nice start!

Your knowledge in coding will serve you for sure - that's something I always wished I had time to learn more about.

If you want to get accepted into more networks, we have a tool that allows you to send an application email to 20 networks:

https://stmforum.com/central-vendor-app/

Looking forward to seeing some stats soon!

Thanks Amy. I was just rejected from ClickDeals. I'll look into more networks.

Day 10-13:
Discovered that Mobidea pushbacks require https. Which means Voluum's free trial can't see Mobidea conversions. I’m not wanting to commit to a tracker yet so I switched to Binom. Free trial + discounted second month + ongoing license fee of $99/month. Setup was easy with its auto-installer. And luckily Voluum used a CNAME'd subdomain, so no issues with waiting for A record or www CNAME to propagate. I'm using a fresh $15/month digitalocean droplet (3 GB Memory / 60 GB Disk / NYC1 - Ubuntu 18.04.3 (LTS) x64). I re-ran my campaign with a higher bid to get some data fast. Also started a PopAds campaign before peeking at PopAds’ traffic for the geo (<1000/d with device+carrier targeting). Was rejected from ClickDealer, Gotzha fixed the server glitch, so I'm now just waiting to hear back.

Sounds great! Traffic volume is pretty low, but should be ideal for your first couple of campaigns.

Note: You can apply to Clickdealer at a later time. Once you have some experience they will likely accept you. Fortunately, network rejections aren't life sentences.
