What traffic source is suitable for a low-budget newbie after 40-day tutorial?

Hi guys,

I'm a newbie following the awesome 40-day tutorial. I know my question has been answered partially in some post but still I want to get your advice on my specific case and goal:

1/ My goal: profiting XX-XXX/day after 1 year of learning and trying taking into account of my full-time work, so i can commit ~20 - 25 hours/week for this goal

2/ My budget: ~ $200/month for ad spending if no profitable campaign. More profit more reinvestment into ad spending

3/ My general guess of suitable traffic sources for me: i read some posts and think that Push and/or Facebook might be good choice. Yet, lots of guys around me are running FB ads for high pay-out offers so i think i may need a bigger budget to reach profitability. Also, FB is so complicated as i have looked around the forum but could not find an updated and organized tutorial on running FB like the amazing 40-day tutorial that @vortex did. I could try but my wish is to really master a single traffic source in 1 year and get profitable with it

I saw conversion for my first-ever campaign so i know affiliate marketing is real. Highly appreciate your advice for me Thanks a lot!

Zach

I think Amy's suggestions in the tutorial are the best already.

Popads for pops and Propeller for Pops, Push, and Native (if you want to try).

Popads is cheap, really good traffic. They have really, really great targeting. They just don't have a lot of volume. And some of their geos have no traffic at all (CZ 3G doesn't exist).

Propeller is cheap, and has good traffic, but you have to test more. Less targeting options. TONS of volume. Requires a lot more testing and cutting. But.

You can honestly get to $XXX profit a day with ONE campaign using just those. If you want to test the waters, Popcash and Adcash are also relatively cheap to use, but traffic quality isn't quite as good.

Scaling to other networks (Adsterra, ZeroPark, hilltop, admaven, Clickadu etc.) can make it faster to reach higher profits, it will cost you a lot more before getting green and require a lot more testing and cutting. Which will also take away your time for optimizing on your other sources. They typically have much larger deposits too ($200-300 minimum).

So, if you're on a tight budget, I'd say stick with the first two

XX-XXX/day are very achievable goals on all kind of traffic sources.

So you have to make the decision.

Just start slowly and you will get there for sure!

2/ My budget: ~ $200/month for ad spending if no profitable campaign. More profit more reinvestment into ad spending
OK, not the biggest budget out there, this could be problematic.
In this case I would try to make work some simple flow offers, probably some SOI's, there is plenty of them and are available in many geos (sweepstakes, dating).

I would be up for push (but I may be biased, haha).

It is very real! And can be truly life changing!

Thanks guys for the advice!

If i run campaigns exclusively on push traffic and target solely for carrier/mobile for next couple of months, which Adplexity product should i choose between Mobile and Push?

Thank you!

Mobile is mostly for pop traffic sources, Push is for push sources.

So depends where you end up with your decision

Our network is pretty straight forward and quite newbie ready. Our minimum is 50$ and we work only with direct sites on push and pop. What are you planning to run though? Some offers are just more suitable for a specific ad format.

We put together a short list of offers we just saw repeating themselves on our push traffic for instance, It's from our yearly reports, if you see anything you want to run on this list, i would go for push, there are tons of traffic sources that are doing push at the moment and have self services, give it a go
