K, complete PS noob, but is there an easy way to make borders on ppv lps to give it a couponesque look?
On top of that, is there an easy way to make it animated so that the dashed border's top and bottom look like the dashes are moving horizontally and the dashed border's sides look like they are moving up and down to catch the users eye more? Hope that makes sense.
My designers/coders are taking the next few days off so I'm stuck doing this shit for myself again

or search by google you can got lots easy methods.
You can also Google "coupon outline" in images and take one of those.
Ya I was searching for plugins and shit, but finally decided to just do what this guy said to do:

With this i'm able to create multiple colored border patterns so I can animate them. I love me some higher CTRs and animations = higher CTRs for me so far.
Anyways if someone is looking for info on how to setup coupon type borders, check out the vid.
Thanks anyways guys.
That video is awesome. Never tried doing it that way.
Really Really helpful.
I've been looking for this for some time.
I'd probably just do it in Adobe Illustrator or make a dashed box in Illustrator and import it in to PS. Easy to just make a rectangle, set the stroke to dashed and set the dash-gap sizes.
I never touched illustrator before that's why i think this is a really awesome solution.
i just created 2 patterns red and blue, animated with gimp and its done in 5 minutes.
so that's a great solution at least for me at least for now.
For web-related stuff you are probably only ever going to use PS. I do other things as well so use Illustrator and InDesign a bit, stick with whatever is easiest. If you ever go to do things that require more vector work, shapes/arrows/lines all over the bloody place then consider using Illustrator, easy to place files straight inside photoshop ftw.
@richardx ahaha you got me good, i though there was a bug no my screen because of your AV, i was trying to blow it off!
Best Way would be to do a pattern overlay on the stroke and scale the white space to the perfect size of your desire
