COD (Cash on Delivery

Hi guys,

We want to run tier2 EU campaigns and heard that COD works good there.

Our shop is on the Shopify platform, does anybody have experience with the setup?

So far I have only found this app.

please let me know

Cheers.

Shopify offers COD by default you don't need 3rd party app for this.

https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/a...sh-on-delivery

Just enable COD option in settings and that's all.

Cheers,

I also found that thread but the opening lines of text got me confused:

“Advanced cash on delivery only works for stores who have their currency set in INR (indian rupees)

Do you know if this is stil correct?Click image for larger version.

The Advanced Cash on Delivery app is available only to stores in India that use Indian rupees (INR) as the store currency. If your store is not eligible, then the app displays a Cash on Delivery payment method has been deactivated message.

This app is only for stores in India.

As I mentioned above, the only thing you need to do for COD is to follow these steps:

Shopify admin > Settings > Payment providers > Manual Payment Methods > Cash on Delivery (COD) > ACTIVATE

You don't need an app for this.

How is the facebook pixel data set up working at the purchase event in case of "fraud" or the "customer changing their mind" about their purchase? how do you revert the purchase in Shopify and how does that affect or gets handled by the facebook pixel?

Also are there any guides or threads on this?

Tks!

Hello,

I don't think you can cancel the conversion in Facebook. That would lead to lots of abuse of advertisers canceling the conversions for any reason.

Fraud conversions = bad for the pixel yes.
A cancellation is still a relevant person probably.

Tks for the reply! I am new to ecom and I have to run a traffic with COD bc where I operate credit cards are not the norm (so maybe my question is basic or I am probably asking the wrong thing).

But what trying to understand is:

Assuming a generic traditional ecom funnel: Add>product view>add to cart>initiate checkout>Purchase/thank you page, how does this work in COD, does the funnel get affected by people who place an order but then do not buy? (I read somewhere that 30%) of "leads" don't follow thru with a purchase.

How do you set up a facebook pixel event and what campian objective do you optimise for? a lead gen campaign or a WC-purchase event, if you chose WC-pur event optimization - how do you deal with the data from people not following thru when facebook has already accounted for a sale. The pixel will not fully optimise for pur events bc of this 30% of people not been serious about their purchase.

What is the proper setup for campaign objective lead gen or WC-Pur and pixel events for COD?

Tks in advance for the insight!
