I come from Facebook BH and I'm trying to get into WH and after a lot of research, I've chosen native as traffic method.
I got an account with Outbrain and picked up an e-com product to promote. The product sells for about $100 with $50 commission.
#Q1 . Is that the right way to go for test? A $100 product? If not, can you please suggestion on what price range should I look to?
It took some changes to my creatives and landing page to get the ads approved. I've spent 40$ so far with average CTR of 0.08 and I've got 50 clicks and no conversion so far. I have some placements with 0.15 to 0.20 CTR and while others have 0.06- 0.08.
#Q2 . Should I already start cutting off low ctr placement or ads?
I am not worried about CR yet as it's a $100 product with $50 commission but I'd love to know at which point should doubt the potential for the product?
Hey there,
Starting with a product that costs the consumer $100 will generally be difficult for your first campaign unless you have a large budget and know this product is doing well for others. I would ideally start with a leadgen offer first to learn the platform. Are you sure others are making the offer work or are you hoping to be the first to make it work by getting it approved?
But regardless there's nothing to worry about cutting yet after only $40. You'll need to spend a few times the CPA at least before making any decisions, so for a $50 payout I'd spent at least $250 first.
If it's a strong offer and you didn't blow all your adspend on one or two high volume sites, then you should at least see a few conversions in the beginning, and by $500-1000 it should be looking doable to reach break-even.
Are you using a LP though? What's the CTR if so?
I have a budget of 3-4k to try it out. Thanks for the lead gen suggestion, I'll have a look into that. What product cost should I look into for lest say Brazil?
I basically spied a lot and found a product that's very popular in a lot of GEO. That's why I assume the product is doing pretty good. But it's not advertised much in Brazil which I believe has a lot of traffic and that's where I'm promoting it.
The average ad CTR is 0.08 but I have a few placements which has more than 1.5 at 50 cents cpc.
I am using landing page yes and it has 20% lander CTR.
