Best Performing Taboola Site Disappeared??

Hey guys,

I've been running my new native campaign on Taboola for a little over a week now. Throughout the whole time there has been a site which is the best performing for me by far and gives me the second-highest volume. However I just checked today's stats and I have had 0 visits and 0 impressions from this site today. I didn't block it and I didn't change any settings that would effect it. I checked my tracker and it seems all the traffic from that site suddenly stopped last night and I haven't gotten any since. My bid is already very high for this particular site (45% above my avg bid) so I'm stumped as to why traffic from it stopped all of a sudden. Has anyone else faced this sort of thing before? I wish I had a Taboola rep to talk to about this but I never get replies to my emails.

Interesting...

Can you spy manually and see if their Taboola widget is still up? Or is it in another geo? Sometimes sites will switch back and forth between ad networks, so they might have their Taboola ads off right now.

Could also be SmartBid if you are using it... it seems to do all sorts of weird stuff...

Or, I doubt this is it, but I believe some networks allow sites to 'blacklist' ad accounts, so if they didn't like your headline or image they could have blocked you, though I doubt that is it.

If it was Revcontent where the widgets are finite in size I might suspect you're just getting outbid, but Taboola is typically infinite-scroll so usually you get at least *some* clicks even if your bid is low.

Let us know if you figure it out, interesting question!

I am using Smart Bid and the Smart Bid had adjusted that particular site to +45% bid cost above my set cost because it was doing so well so I'm not sure why Smart Bid would all of a sudden decide to stop traffic from the campaign's best site. The site is huge and has multiple sites/widgets for all their sub-domains within Taboola and I am still receiving traffic from their other subdomains and pages, just not the one that I want. Very strange. The bid definitely isn't low, it's very high for that site.

Edit: I clicked the link to the site/widget using a VPN in my GEO and the Taboola ads are being shown there, but I can't see my ad there... Hmmmmm

Its quite likely your domain or account has been blacklisted by the site.

Hard to say, but smaller placements do come and go on native occasionally.

How much were you spending? Perhaps someone with a higher spend cap was prioritized.

Your placement could be blacklisted by the publisher. Also its possible someone else figured out its a great site, increased their bid 5000% and thats why your not getting any impressions.

Finally got a Taboola rep to help me out. She says that I am not blacklisted by the publisher and she has escalated the query to support to figure out what the issue is. I'm stumped. It was my second-highest source by spend and my best performing source by far. It's not a small site either, it's a subdomain of one of the largest publishers on Taboola, if not the entire internet so I know they haven't just disappeared.
