The big Peerfly closed down, what is happening?

Earlier this year abovealloffers.com shut down, are we going to see more of this?
What is actually going on?

Thanks,
D

Interesting, mundo media went down not that long ago, now peerfly ... 2 of the oldest networks as far as I know. Looks like the old dogs are not able to adapt well to the new times.

And at the same time, I've seen quite a few new networks "fishing" for affiliates over at AWE not even a month ago.

Looks like these older and large networks went over the edge with their operation costs and can't really cut back on them.

Maybe we will find out more about the motives later on, I for one would love to hear more about why they decided to close shop all of a sudden.

Wow https://blog.peerfly.com/2019/07/29/a-new-chapter/

Another network going into push and started offering spy services while new networks still open up every day.

Do networks take too much of the cake and spend it on bullshit? Watched a Zorba video a few months ago and saw Advidi spending their time on creating some sort of bullshit artwork thing which only their top affiliates could get.

Perhaps time to batten down the hatches and go direct? I prefer to get a bigger slice then seeing intermediates eating mine and spending it on bs.

Added this a bit later.

I am even seeing the performance with some of the bigger networks I work with (Awin, Daisycon and especially Tradetracker) going down. Approvals going down and time to pay has been going up.

_________

Most probably because they all have been too busy buying big fancy offices and throwing big bullshit parties from the money they skimmed from us.

I'm sure the "corporate image" plays a role in this. Fancy offices, company culture, social benefits ... I know it's important to offer certain things to get the best talent, but this might be the reason for the latest raise of networks from Russia and other parts of the world where these things are not so prevalent.. time will show.

RIP another network, its a tough game right now.

But yeah like you said Matuloo, some 'seem' to be thriving, but they're adapting to new offer styles and less juggernaught overheads

Full disclosure: I'm incredibly biased because I work with SellHealth and love our model.

Many networks are left holding the bag on some huge debts. When you're paying out $60 for a muscle trial payout, and converting hundreds of sales a day... It adds up quickly.

It further underscores the importance of vetting those people you do business with. The days of the "free trial" muscle supplement/garcinia/acai offer have gone away... for now.

I wouldn't want to start a network simply because I'd be concerned about getting screwed over. Networks don't get paid by advertisers, and it's more common than affiliates realize.

Before affiliates jump in with a network and run an insane amount of traffic, SET YOUR TERMS. Just like having money in a PayPal account, money held by an affiliate network can go away in the blink of an eye... so be smart!

Yeah, quite a lot of networks closed down this year, who know who is the next.

On the other hand there are plenty of new networks popping up here and there.

But when these huge networks close those affiliates will have to eventually move their campaigns somewhere else, so it potentially can bring new business to other networks.
