There is still a lot of focus for people with push, its kinda an easier place to dabble in the game without blowing budgets to fast and learn the ins and outs. There is also still chances to find some nice ROI in places, however volume is much lower and its still sporadic in terms of day in day out profit/loss.

- Tracking, Optimising/Reading Stats, Offer Setup, Lander Setup.

And yeah the updates ahead look a bit sketchy, but I don't believe at all it will destroy push entirely, maybe just won't be as aggressive anymore lol

However FB is different, you can run campaigns on FB without tracking even (although I still always recommend using a tracker) by just letting the pixel get to work inside the ads manager and optimising it out from lead prices, if you have a decent budget of a few $k I would just go the FB route.

Its here to stay, and its still very crackable.

It seems you've made the decision for yourself dude, just follow the intuition. Find some leadgen offers you'd like to try, maybe have a spy on some tools see what is out there and put a campaign up and get your feet wet.

- There really is no wrong or right path - the action and getting amongst it will open more doors for you

With your FB ad account get in early with setting up the business manager and a few ad accounts on it, just to make sure along the way you have less hiccups

Thanks maynzie for the advice, really appreciate it

I do have a budget of $5k to start with. I hope that's good enough to start with.

A quick question - By the end of 2019, I want to work as a media buyer for a (super) affiliate. Do you think working on FB as traffic source would present me more opportunities to do that, compared to if I do Push?

FB experience is definitely more valuable than push experience, at least when it comes to the job of a media buyer. I'm pretty sure FB will keep on thriving, while the future of push is pretty much uncertain.

But anyways, in case you've never run a campaign yet, it might still make sense to mess with push for a while, it's the perfect playground for any aspiring media buyer imo. And since none of us really knows how far some push regulations are... do not wait and start now The experience/knowledge you gain from this can be transferred to any traffic type, from a large part.

$5k budget is plenty my man, just make sure every time you're spending money anywhere you're 'defining' your process, so you're able to learn what you're doing, why you're doing it, what you learned from it etc then you can always keep an eye on everything you're learning because its so easy to become lost in the tunnel of affiliate marketing.

FB is one of the biggest marketplaces for any business right now in the world, they're always adapting and evolving but their traffic is huge. Instagram too, so putting your efforts here is not going to be wasted

With a $5k budget you're ahead of a lot of people bro.

Lead gen is where its at if you want the long term game. I know a few people from the lead gen engine course who are making it work. I'm sure you can too.. With your budget it's doable.

Its not that hard getting started with FB and the process the Day brothers teach in the course is very simple.

Now is the time to start taking massive action man!

Reach out if you need help setting things up.

Good luck!

cheers!

Its an affiliate marketing course created by Charles Ngo and the Day brothers.

It focuses heavily on promoting white hat Lead Gen offers. They also teach you how to generate your own leads and how to do email marketing.

They also take a deep dive on how to optimize your campaigns using Facebook ads.

Thanks for the great advice maynzie. That piece of advice about defining your process was really valuable.

eliezer said he knows some of them who got results with this course. Although I'm not sure if those people are on STM too.

Hi Varun69,

We are seeing great results with push traffic, especially on finance and software offers, so it´s definitely an advantage if you master that.

I think it's the perfect time to go into push notification. Regulations will come, you have to take advantage of the time you got now with push now. It's like the early days of pop, You got this endless amount of users, and tons of traffic to go around. A lot of things really work well, Sweeps, Casino offers, Dating - And the reason it's working is mainly that users are still not 100% accustomed to push like they do to pop.

People can't see pop and banners anymore, you close them or ignore them, but push is still something that produces almost the highest engagement possible.

I would go into Push carefully, there is a lot of traffic around and it's not the volumes weve been accustomed to. You could start a campaign with a push network and with a bid too high you could win endless traffic with very little filter.

I would go into push, it's something really really fresh and exciting and possibilities at this point really are endless. Just pick your traffic source correctly and optimize as soon as possible

Yes, still not late.

User bases are growing, new sources popping up here and there, lot of verticals that you can make work.

Future is uncertain, but you can still ride the wave till it lasts.
