I'm trying to build an affiliate site for online casinos.
I'm using Wordpress.
What do you think are the essentials SEO plugins?
I'm only familiar with Yoast https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/seo/
Curious if anyone has any better recommendations perhaps with a more pro-active role in SEO as Yoast has been around for years.
WP Rocket, Scuri ,Optimizepress these 3 are a must have
Here are the ones I believe one must have:
- Yoast (make sure you set it up properly. I suggest you try playing around with it. But if you face any issues just send me a DM, I'll help you out)
- WP Rocket (you will need it to optimize your website for fast page load speeds; you can Google to find the recommended settings for this)
- ReallySimpleSSL (this will load all your URLs as https, assuming you have an SSL certificate)
- A good backup plugin like BackupBuddy
- TinyMCE Advanced (this will give you more control for editing content on your site)
- WPAutoTerms (if you don't want to create customized TnC and Privacy Policy pages for your site - I think you should get custom pages because you are in the online casinos niche)
There are going to be few others depending on which theme you are using and the functionalities you need. But these are a must have for all sites.
Suggestion - If possible, try a light-weight theme like Astra theme or GeneratePress. They are great at optimizing the site code and will help your site load faster, thus helping with conversions, user experience and google rankings.
Try not to use more than 5 max plug ins, it will slow your site score.
