1k+ Days on Native

Hello everyone, I am doing solid In affiliate marketing already, but now I wanna learn native ads (goal 1k+ days ). I am new to native although I tested once MGID in the past but campaign ended up negative (too many bad widgets). I want to do it on Taboola now because I think it should have better traffic quality. Problem for my start is I can't decide which of the big native players strategy and tips to use, because some of them contradict each others, or it would require from me to make too many adsets/campaigns for same offer.
I've seen Malan's suggestion on madsociety forum, where he is using x3 system for running a campaign, I read James Vans suggestion to start with super small budget and super high bid to get better quality score, and then lower the bid and increase the budget. And I also read about Ralfs suggestion to make 3 campaigns (2 for each device and 1 for all together). Can anyone who is already doing good numbers on Native (preferably taboola) suggest me a way to start my campaign. I will use adplexity, tracker will be Thrive I think, and not sure do I even need optimiser.io for a start.
Big Thanks in advance. lets do it!

The thing with strategies suggested by other native (or any other traffic type) affiliates, is that every single person has at least a slightly different approach to handling things. That's why there will always be some contradictions or at least differences.

This can create some confusion, but at the same time, it's a good thing. If there was just one way of profiting, everybody would be doing the same thing and that would severely limit the chances of finding success. In the end, it's about finding your own way of managing campaigns and optimizing. The best thing to do is to analyze what the others are doing, look for the things that seem to be working for all of them and use those. And on top of that, try to add your personal twist to it and form your own strategy and approach

So you already analyzed the "views" of 3 skilled native guys, let me tag our "STM in-house" native expert/moderator @thedudeabides (Kelly) and hopefully he can drop some solid tips here for you

If you are currently doing well outside of native, why not focus on making as much money as you can from that now?

I'm not familiar with Malan's suggestions but you can both run separate campaigns per device groupings as mentioned AND start them all off and high bids, low daily cap to adjust bids after they cap. That's pretty standard campaign structure and launch strategy (aside from grouping all devices in lowest bid campaign).

But don't overthink or overcomplicate things too much with tools and methods. The most important thing is the offer, period.

The worse the offer you're running, the more optimizations and cuts you're going to have to make to get it to perform.

Try and test a few offers from the getgo and focus on the one that does best (eg closest to break-even), and get a feel for the numbers you need to hit to drive profit at volume.

Once you have that baseline of experience and data to go from launching a few campaigns, you can usually tell right away if an offer 'has legs' or not after usually $500-1k spend and will be worth your time and money continuing to test.

Ads are generally the next biggest lever for native. If you can take your own ad images for the offers, especially on sources like Outbrain & Taboola where the images are a lot tamer, then that's a big edge over your competition who often just copy everything.

Would you mind sharing best traffic sources which work for CPI offers? Also which affiliate networks specialize in good CPI offers?

Please stop bumping this thread with question about cpi, this is not the goal of this thread. Keep it about Native ads.

I was in the same boat as you!

There are a lot of "TOP" strategies. If you cant decide, why not test them all on a smaller scale? Just buy the data to find out the answer (like I did).

Keep the things that worked and toss the things that clearly did not. You may end up with a secret sauce that is actually just a specific combination of those ingredients that's totally unique to you...

SO just pick one and get it up and running... before analysis paralysis kicks in (that happened to me a lot. It's a sign of information overdose).

The only problem I see with copying an exact approach is that once a strategy is mainstream it's effectiveness might dwindle... Also the top people are still learning and improving their approach all the time.

But, if you make your own remix maybe you can avoid that?
