Where do I put the tokens in the tracking/postback URL? (Voluum) (3)

I am putting my first campaign together and feel a little bit stuck, because I am not sure if I am putting the tokens at the right place.

Newbie problems!

So.... Let's explain:

I got the offer from Mobidea and the traffic source Propellerads. (Push)

As I was following the beginner's webinar on Voluum, I stumbled on the step where I have to fill out the New Offer Form.

There I had to put the right tokens in the Offer URL. There was where I got a little bit confused.

Offer URL:

https://www.example.com/offer/000000??data1=Track1&data2=Track2&tag={External_ID _from_traffic_source}&website={subID}&placement={s ub_subID}

Where should I put the Click ID? Should I put it here ----> .....&tag={External_ID_from_traffic_source} or ---> placement={sub_subID}&tag={clickid}

A little bit further in the same New Offer Form I found the Postback URL. Here also I am not sure what to do.

The Postback URL:

https//example.com/postback?cid=REPLACE&payout=OPTIONAL&txid=OPTIONAL
So where should I put the tokens? And wich tokens?

The {External_ID_from_traffic_source} looks like a token but in fact it isn't, it's a descriptive way to let you know what token you should map with the tag parameter. So in the offer url in Voluum, the tag parameter should appear only once mapped with Voluum's {clickid} token: "tag={clickid}". It doesn't matter if you append it at the end of your url or add in the middle - just add it once.

This is the offer url you pasted above: https://www.example.com/offer/000000??data1=Track1&data2=Track2&tag={External_ID _from_traffic_source}&website={subID}&placement={s ub_subID}

There's no need to keep the 'data1' and 'data2' parameters as they aren't paired with any tokens, 'website' and 'placement' parameters aren't paired right because {subID} and {sub_subID} aren't Voluum tokens. If you want to pass info to Mobidea on website and placement, you need to pair these parameters with the right tokens provided by Voluum - the list of all the tokens you can use is under the offer url field. For tracking to work correctly, only the 'tag={clickid}" needs to be added to the url, the rest is optional so the final offer url can look like this to work:

https://www.example.com/offer/000000??tag={clickid}

Mobidea is integrated with Voluum so it's best to set up global postback to Voluum in Mobidea settings and not use the "Custom" option as it seems to be causing some errors.

I'll walk you through it:

Click the "Global postback" option from the drop-down menu, then select the Voluum radio button.





In the field for the domain name, write only your tracking domain name
- no HTTP or HTTPS
- no tokens
- just the domain name.
