What I Need For PPV

Hey team,

Just looking into PPV for the first time so everything is nice and new to me.

I'm going through the STM 40 day email guide and it says i need to sign up for/buy Lead Impact, CPV Lab and Beyond Hosting.

The thing is i already have and am familiar with Prosper202 and have hosting at host gator. just wondering whether these are enough to start with or should i invest in the new tracking and hosting?

No , Prosper is good enough and shared hosting is ok if you do small volume ( less than 10k views a day ).

When you start pushing more volume def get at least a VPS or a dedicated server.

Hey Sapper... I don't use 202 so don't know what updates they've made since I last saw it, but here are some mods that I remember having to add)

1) this is a modification that Brock made for 202 so that you can track ppv better (accurate click costs):

2) And this is a mod that allows you to track CTR of LPS from specific keywords

3) This is a post similar to yours with a lot of info in it:

Good luck buddy!

yeah if your familiar with 202 keep that until your profitable. If you just do simple landers and direct linking stick with 202. If your looking at more elaborate campaigns then CPVLab is a must. Test your load times on your server to make sure your pops load within 1-2s.

Thanks lads, will stick with host gator for now but have plans to upgrade once i start to get a grasp on PPV. I've updated Prosper with those upgrades so hopefully that will give me the tracking i need, but obviously in the future ill be going for the CPV lab and Beyond hosting upgrade.

tijn, what can i use to test the load time for my pop ups?

And also, newbie question, when someone says they're scraping URLS, does this mean they're collecting URLs to target their popups on?

use pingdom.com -> tools section

re: scraping URLs -> yes thats exactly it.

polarbacon did a good set of videos on using the Affexpert tools for scraping
