Hey there,

so a little bit about me is I use to do organic IM with little success. I remember the first sites I had was on the paleo diet and an Adsense site about Iraqi dinar. Both took a while to rank but once I did get them rank making about 40 dollars a day Google did a mass update and p oof there goes my sites on the back of the search results.

after that happened I said screw it, I'm done. Now in my thirties, I realize that I can't work forever and the one asset that I am wasting is time. Working a typical 9-5 is daunting knowing that I could possibly have to do that for the next 30 years. So I joined the forum multiple times before never took action at all. Honestly, I didn't know where to start and a part of me still feels that way. I guess the goal of this whole follow along is just to get my feet wet and take some sort of action. Since I heard sweepstakes are somewhat newbie friendly that is what I decided to do.

OFFER: Big retail store gift card

PAYOUT: $2 per email submission

LANDER: The offer page already has a survey. I set up a page that is pretty basic. One picture that just says hey would you like a chance to win a gift card? click here to fill out a quick survey and it redirects them to the offer page.

BUDGET: 36 dollars. I am also a lurker of Colin's affiliate group and the person who runs it has a system he lays out to test campaign. Here is the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3Yjj3vlLhM

CAMPAIGN: I will have two adset with two angles on facebook and each adset will have a budget of 6 dollars each with three different images.

TARGET: targeting states where most of these box store reside at and I will be targeting women older than 25.

TRACKING: No tracking setup. I was getting stuck on how to set up a tracker that I wasted two days.

HOSTING: I followed Servando advice on his blog and used a unmanaged server that cost me 10 dollars a month and serverpilot which pushes wordpress setup to the server which cost 5 dollars a month. Load time is extremely quick and I feel like its a good alternative to clickfunnel or unbounce.


Any tips would be great! Like I said I have no clue what I'm doing so any advice would help. Campaign launching tonight. I will come back with the stats in a couple days!

Okay, a day in a half in and only one conversion. I feel like 29 cents per link click isn't so bad but definitely, one conversion for the amount of click seems pretty low. Not going to jump the gun and just sticking with the plan and letting it run for three days. This is my first conversion ever so taking that small victory. Will check back in a couple of days from now.

Does @trying2nguyen have to be careful with his account?

I mean what is facebook's policy is regarding sweeps? Is it a grey area where you have to be really careful .. or totally ok?

Reason I'm asking is that I've been running sweeps on Pop Traffic and have always thought fb did not allow it?

from what i heard is there is always a way to get a new account. im not worried about it. i hope youre having great success though

Yeah there is always ways to get new accounts, but doesn't hurt to make sure you can solve this problem earlier as sweeps is definitely something that can ban your account anywhere from early spends to later depending on FB's mood of the day. Annnddd getting more accounts often sounds easier then it is.

This is a US sweeps offer? May have to continue to test more images and adcopies as sweeps and $0.27 cpc is still a bit far off.

Maynzie, far off as in too expensive? So i stopped the campaign. I am going to find a different offer and test it in the UK. I got several comments of people saying there was way too many questions but that is something i cant control because the survey was on the offers page. But thanks for the tip about the facebook accounts!

Yeah bit far off from high CPC cost, for sweeps you need to really have cheap clicks to make them work.

Again, its split testing a tonne of images. The audiences always stay mostly similar (Age + for quality, Geo, Store of card or similar stores, or products etc) the images and adcopies.. angle, is the $$

Dude Colin is awesome. We were in a mastermind together when we were making 5 dollars a day on sweeps. I guess you can say we childhood sweep friends LOL.

Ok so.. .29 cents CPC is too high my friend.

Here's my advice.. target mobile only & (broader interest targeting vs. targeting states) & test more images. Images make a huge difference its crazy. The broader you go on the interest the lower the cpc but also the quality. You kind of have to find a balance. You will know when you find the sweet spot as you test.

Good job on your lander, thats exactly how I do it too when there is already a survey on the offer page.

And don't worry about tracking. I don't use any tools... accounts last longer that way (in my experience at least).

The majority of older women are still very active on FB, and moving step by step a bit more towards Instagram. This target audience is THE sweep audience so yeah instagram could be interesting (especially fashion related prizes), but FB still represents the biggest chunk of the pie.

The epc of the offer also it's very low. Work more on your landing page and make sure you test different advertisers.

Im at 110% ROI right now with AU offer for on Instagram with Fb ads (running just 1 day right now)
But what is best to do to keep account alive right now? Im only spending 50$ day, but really want to scale
Im not using any cloacker etc. and pay 0.06 cpc. i can't see a quality score, it's not there yet.

Be patient with budgets per account. Spread your camps on more accounts asap so you don't rely on one account. A ban is coming, just a matter of time (could be weeks, could be months tho'), make sure you have backup accounts ready.

Any tips how i can get the lander safe as possible? Im not using any free word / win / giveaway etc. But more tips always welcome.

For example:
Is it good to have more text on it? More images etc?

Content will defintely have effect on the quality score. But try to stay to the point without distracing too much, it will mess up conversion rates.

We prefer to rotate with prelanders often to avoid exhausting and keep angles and landers fresh.

Sorry to hear that. Tracking's difficult to understand at the beginning but there are plenty of people willing to help and guide you as you start.

My sweep campagne still running but since i got budget daily only on $50 spend the profit is only $50. I want to scale the ad, but afraid to copy/duplicate it. What do you guys think is best to do right now?

Really be patient man, you gonna regret pushing boundaries now at start, with only one account in place. Make sure you have 2 extra accounts with same kinda angle running with profit and low budget.

Scale one account and let the 2 other ones cook for some days. You will never lose all volume with this setup neccessarily.

Try to be steady for a couple of days/weeks before scaling first mate on this one account you have now.

Scale via other traffic sources?

How do you guys farm accounts when all of yours get banned?

There are several services available offering plug n play accounts, warmed up etc (just google it). If you really want to learn about farming better check blackhatworld.com.
Another better option is using accounts from friends/family, create a small aff program rewarding people providing real accounts from friends etc.

Wondering why? I split tested it against another option for 1 - 2 days (of course), decided it's not right for me, and I asked for a refund. Lol they literally ignored my emails from then on... Pretty awkward.

When I need a tracker I use thrive instead (and I'm really happy with it).

I run whitehat lead gen offers but I still get banned on facebook. Obviously its not to the same level as sweepstakes or dick pills lol, but I mainly just want an easy solution to have more profiles to run on, I don't want anything complicated where I have to worry about using proxies and device id's shit like that.

The only advice I have at this time is to ensure all your eggs are not in one basket meaning get more Facebook accounts live and running ads on low budget. Nothing worse than having something running, maybe you're making $50-$500/day then a ban comes and your at $0/day for another 2-6 weeks while you struggle for a replacement.

Remember its not a matter of IF you get banned, its a matter of WHEN you get banned, be ready, think 5 steps ahead.

From what I've seen on FB traffic - yes, supermarkets for older women is a safe (yet expensive) bet, especially in DE and UK.

However, if you want to get the CPC down, go younger (18-24) and add Instagram. Just make sure with your AM that the organizer of the sweep doesn't have any minimum age limits like 22+, otherwise the leads won't go through.

I can share with you some exclusive fast food, energy drinks (target young men), all kinds of make-up (target young girls) offers with high payouts. Those are a perfect match with the younger audience. Interesting. We experience low cpcs on older people, less tech/internet savvy so they convert better over here too.

Lead gen companies experience a lower RPU on younger audiences, since the leads gathered are sold to finance, energy providers etc, not so relevant for younger people who rent a home for example. Just my thoughts tho’.
