My Results After Testing With Adwords and Clickbank in Oct-Nov 2011 (38)

Here's a recent snap shot of a niche ive been running with adwords and clickbank. averages to about 60% in profit on the clickbank front end.

because i build a list, i later upsell with a $2600 product.

average profit per customer is $3000+++

adwords account bans are a pain. after running so many tests, avoid
certain dubious niches, and work with the ones that adwords is happy with.

make money online, weightloss, these are heavilly monitored, so to make sure
ads are up and running, generating income for 12 months quietly, error on the side of caution,
do MORE for the site, the editorial team are itchy finger to ban these type of sites.

the psychology to go by when building these sites and avoid an account ban is...

"offer tips to problems. do not promise anything."

- if you offer tips on how to lose weight, adwords will not get banned.
- if you promise lose weight quickly in days, adwords account will get banned.

- if you offer tips on how to use adwords in a business, you are safe
- if you promise how one can make big money with adwords, you are banned.

niches that are local, do not have 1000s of affiliates promoting, are relatively safer. i hv ads running for local markets that are left undisturbed by adwords editorial.

So your average profit for each of those sales in the clickbank stats is $3000? Or average profit per customer who signs up for the big ticket ($2600) product is $3000? If it's the first one, congrats as you are killing it.

nice numbers and great example of something most people stay away from cause its "too difficult"

so your path is:

1) adwords ad
2) lander with optin
3) thankyou page with tips / send the tips
4) short email sequence to sell clickbank product
5) further email sequence to sell high ticket product

or do you go straight to clickbank after optin?

avoid on the lander.

Ads like these are accepted on adwords once the site is strong.
build the site STRONG and u can put all sorts of funky ads to test.

ads like:

-Online Jobs Earn $1000+
-Top Flippers Make 17k/mth

build the site weak, ads like above will put the ad under review and along comes the editorial
team to check the site. a weak site cannot stand up under scrutiny. adwords checks what is
going on behind the lander and if clickbank links are your main priority.

if it is, the site is banned.

YES.

NOTE: a single page with an optin to collect email addresses = BAN

a multi paged website with original content, and opt in is the BEST.
Use WordPress Corporate Themes, and fill up the entire site with content, the more the merrier.

Then the other thought is.. is the site forcing anyone to go to clickbank or CPA type offers on their next click?

if the answer is NO, the site is Adwords safe.

After the optin, the user must be able to still click around and interact with the site, and that's
where the multi tabs from the wordpress corprate theme come in. you will know what i mean once you've
googled for FREE WORDPRESS CORPORATE THEMES and checked their layouts.

Visitors should not be forced to click on a clickbank link.

Adwords knows where the visitors are going on their next click and if a huge number
are being funneled on their next click to a tracking202 link then a clickbank site, thats an account ban.

3) thankyou page with tips / send the tips
YES

4) short email sequence to sell clickbank product
Yes. however...if the editorial team gets wind from complaints of your site and start to investigate,
snoop around the opt in, check that email messages being sent are indeed directing people
to clickbank sites as a main business model, or dubious Google Cash Kit biz op type offers, the account can still be banned.

I go as far as to put clickbank links in an ebook and folks click on the links that way.

5) further email sequence to sell high ticket product
YES. then i do home delivery of the products Cash on Delivery in Singapore,
or the drop shipping company does it for me for International Orders.


This leads to a BAN if the Editorial team find the site. And they will find it somewhere down the line.
i recalled once an account running fine into 3weeks, and since the account had age... the Gordon Gecko
in me started cramming the lander after opt in page with clickbank links and various CPA offers.

the account got banned bout 5 days later. i never went back to that model since,
because the process of setting up new adwords account is tedious, as im sure most people know.

for folks that made $xxxx/day with Adwords, but lost that income because they keep
succumbing to google bans..the information above will 100% get you back to that income.

This is exactly what I needed to hear. I exactly followed what you described but wasn´t sure if this was the right way, sniff sniff, crying of hapiness now.
Now my only challenge is getting conversions, but I´m sure I´ll figure that out somehow.

I just googled for some free wordpress corporate themes. And saw this demo: http://wordpress.site5.net/boldy/
I can see the optin form is somewhere below on the site on the right.

If you need to have to fill up the site with content, how do you make sure your viewers subscribe to your list?
Could you explain that a bit? Maybe show us a demo page of a correct corporate theme.

Have you also tried pushing some facebook traffic to the site? Any reason why you picked Google Adwords as a traffic source?

Regarding why Adwords instead of Facebook...

Adwords Because...
=================

- Big Volume, Quality Traffic from Content, Mobile, Search.

- People are searching for solutions on Google and in a buying mood

- For Adwords, once you've passed the review process, ads stays up without a hiccup.

- Once the entire conversion process is fine tuned, the more you spend, the more you make.
The profit margin can be really good, 200% - 300% for simple text ads, unlike Facebook images
where you need to tweak and test.

no opt in pop ups. it won't get by manual review. hv tried some pop ups that come up on exit or 7 seconds later,
the campaigns get caught sooner or later.

those tricks of iframing, and smart lil ideas that use to work, i know some campaigns are getting by, but if we don't
want to be one of those 10000s of affiliates that die by the roadside, safer to go legit.

more time, more money, more effort to build legit sites but it will pay off in the end.
