STMers,
I've finally gotten around publishing my very first case study. This campaign is profitable and currently brings on average $50-100/day. I will disclose as much as possible on the forum, as a way of paying back to the community, but as always, if you are looking for "extra" feel free to visit the actual blog post and see if Premium Membership is right for you. You will have everything you need to get profitable in this thread alone!

CAMPAIGN BREAKDOWN
Offer Vertical: Sweepstakes
Payout: €2.65 (3 USD)
GEO: Germany
Device: Desktop
Affiliate Network: Clickdealer
Traffic Network: AdCash
Traffic Type: POP/PPV
INTRODUCTION
First and foremost, let me start off by saying that at first I was rather skeptical about launching this campaign on Adcash. I've tried this traffic source many years ago, when I was just starting out my affiliate marketing journey, and had very little success with it. This campaign shows that it was mainly due to my lack of experience. I am very impressed with this traffic source and urge everyone to try it. Note: I am in no way, shape or form affiliate with Adcash.

Even with a proven offer and landing page combo, launching a campaign on a new traffic source would not normally generate a positive ROI right off the bat. That wasn’t the case with this one. Their CPA Goal algorithm seems to work fantastic, driving positive ROI from day one with little to no optimization.

Below you will find all details about the campaign: exact offer, optimized landing page, zones as well as exact traffic source and tracker settings used.
COUNTRY
For the past few months, Germany has been showing good performance in the sweepstakes vertical, so I’ve decided to try and scale my campaigns to different traffic sources using the same proven landing page and recommended offer, knowing that if new campaign doesn’t work, its not because of a dud offer or a bad lander.
OFFER
Nice thing about Germany is that their SOI (Single Opt In) offers tend to have higher payouts. The offer of choice was the Amazon Sweepstake Lead Generation offer available on ClickDealer. Same advertiser has a plethora of other variations that include different merchants and stores, which in my opinion generate an even higher ROI most of the time, but that’s something I will leave up to you to test and cash in on! Offer accepts both mobile and web traffic.
Here is what offer page looks like:

STM Edit: If you don’t have time to browse through ClickDealer, trying to find exact same offer, PM me and I will gladly send you the offer name. Or you can use any other offer that you know works for that GEO or is recommend to you by your network.
LANDING PAGE
The landing page I chose for this campaign has been a solid performer for me for months. It is optimized for both mobile and desktop. This style has been around spy tools for ages now, and for a good reason. It works. It’s a simple 4 part questionnaire designed to mimic a well known interface.
STM Edit: You can find similar landing pages on Adplexity or by manual spying. Normally they come with either a well known logo or a generic gift image in the header. A non-logo version was used in this campaign, but feel free to read up on the creatives policy on AdCash or any other traffic source you are going to advertise on to see if you can use a logo version for some additional profits. Also make sure to read rules and regulations on the offer page when it comes to using this kind of creative. If in doubt, talk to your account manager.

TRAFFIC SOURCE AND TRACKER SETTINGS
Campaign setup process was pretty straightforward. For beginners, I would recommend starting with a funnel containing multiple offers to test (2 to 3), but since I know exactly which landing page works for this vertical and have a pretty trustworthy relationship with my Account Manager at ClickDealer, I opted for just using a single offer that I was told had good recent conversion rate.
Note: Normally, the funnel I’ve never ran before I would always initially launch on a trusted list of white listed zones first (aka siteids, publishids) that I've acquired over time.
Tracker Settings. This is important. In order to automatically track click costs, you need to ensure that [redirection_cost] token in included in your Campaign URL, the campaigns bid model is set to CPC and Auto Box is checked off. In theory, in order to update costs, you could just cross reference daily spend in AdCash reports interface and update costs in your tracker manually, but due to the nature of CPA Goal bidding model, where the system will bid differently on each zone, unless you update each zone’s cost separately it will not be accurate.

In

Traffic Source settings. This may seem complicated at first, but once you play around with it, it is relatively easy to setup. I've included all screenshots, indicating exact campaign settings.
Note: For this case study, I used the Advanced Campaign setup option, but after playing around with both types (Advanced and Express) I can safely say that Express Campaign is a lot easier to use and has all the same functionality available, so feel free to choose whichever if you are following along.
Click on “Create Campaign” – “Advanced Campaign” (Or Express)
Name your campaign and select location, which in this case would obviously be “Germany”. Click Next.

For targeting, de-select all sources, except for AdCash. Uncheck “Allow traffic from new supply sources” field. Click Next.
Once you have a profitable campaign you can try other brokered traffic on the platform, but to make things simple for this case study and not test too many variables at the time, I've decided to only use AdCash traffic.

Set browser language as “German” and device type as “Desktop”. I find that for sweepstakes, I get much higher ROI when a language native to the country I advertise in is set. Again, this is something you should try and test for yourself to see if it makes a difference.
Click Next.

In Creatives tab, select Pop-under Web for your creative and insert your Campaign URL from
Click Next.
In Budget Tab, select your bid model as CPA target. I used a CPA Target goal of 2.60 which is about 40 cents below of what the offer payout is. It seems to have worked for me, but then again, this should be something you can test for yourself.

Make sure to set your daily budget, that you are comfortable with. For this campaign I started off with $50 per day, slowly increasing it very few days. You can do the same.
Click “Create Campaign” and it will be submitted for validation. It might take anywhere from 1-6 hours to have it validated. You will get an email once it is up and running.
RESULTS

As you can see, although overall profitable, this initial campaign still had a couple of negative ROI days, which shows the importance of following through and not pausing campaigns early.
As of end of June 2019* this exact campaign has earned me just under $700, without any optimization at all. I just let it run.
NOW WHAT?
The hardest part of starting with affiliate marketing was not knowing how and where to start. There is simply too much information out there, half of which is outdated, and the other half is a straight up scam. I wish someone disclosed an entire campaign that includes all settings, offers and landing pages when I was just starting out. If you are one of the first people to come across this case study you can literally just copy this entire campaign as is and start seeing results immediately.
STM Edit: After creating this initial campaign you have a number of scaling options. You could run the campaign for a few weeks, collecting a list of profitable zones, then launch a “whitelist only” campaign. (I've tested it and the ROI is much higher). You could use the same zones to launch campaigns in other GEOs using other funnels. (Yeap, same zones work for other GEOs as well). You could copy the campaign and run it on mobile traffic. Options are unlimited.
Now get to work!
Great post, I like it because it´s Pop and it´s desktop traffic.

Hmm.. I ran that exact offer as well, but didn't have much success with Megapush, PropellerAds or ZP.. I was running push. I should try pops too, maybe they work a bit better.
I can't run Adcash because I don't want to pay 20% VAT for them (my company is in Estonia as well) :P
But congrats.. nice campaign.
Nice case study! Great job and thanks for sharing!
Keep 'em coming!
