I first subscribed to STM early last year and in this time, have done jack all with what I've been able to learn thus far - in some parts due to being busy with family and my day job but mostly as a result of analysis paralysis. There's so much information on STM that it is easy to get overwhelmed. After all, it's paid traffic and the natural inclination is to get things right from the start to minimise any losses.
Welp, enough is enough - it's time to stop sitting on my hands and take some action! I just finished David Goggin's "Can't Hurt Me" and I highly recommend it for everyone of you out there who need that little kick in the butt to get going. The book inspired me to just stop flip flopping my way through this, jump off and start taking action. As they say, procrastination is the thief of time and we owe it to ourselves to take action if we want to change our lives for the better. No more excuses; just do!
Background
I'm based in Singapore and am in my mid-30s. I studied traditional advertising back in school and in my current day-to-day, I manage a regional consulting team for a global company - so definitely not a techie person!
But I've always felt that the corporate life is not for me - I treasure the opportunities that I've been fortunate to have in my career, but it wasn't something that I actually *loved* doing. I hated the inane meetings, having to schmooze and keep up the appearance of being an engaged employee. The job pays the bills but at the end of the day, we're all but pawns to the CEO and the Senior Leadership Team. I am only useful and treasured by the company at present but I'd be kidding myself if I think the company loves me enough to keep me on the moment numbers go down and leadership needs to report healthy figures in the next quarters!
So that's the long, short story of where my life has been tracking to date - I've always been on the lookout for an exit strategy that will enable me to rest my outcomes in own my hands and I believe AM is the answer. While I'm new to paid traffic, I've had some minor successes in the past hustling adult offers via techniques learnt on BlackHatWorld and creating linkwheels for my moneysites. So I DO know that you can make money online - after all, the principles at a high level are the same!
Attract people to your offer which addresses a need or want -> Get them to provide their personal/card details -> Money in my bank.
My priority is to get a hang for how paid traffic works, being comfortable with setting up campaigns, and have the ability to translate the numbers collected by the tracker into meaningful insights which I can then use to optimise my campaigns.
Where I'm at right now
I have been following the first few days of the 40-day guide to a T. I've signed up for
Per the guide, I have chosen 5 offers and have started to run one of them.

Been a few days since my first post - unfortunately I had to hop on a plane and travel for work.
On the bright side, I found out why my costs for PopAds aren't being reflected on
