[STM CONTEST] Make Your FIRST Conversion and Win Prizes! (37)

If you haven't had your first profitable campaign, or made your first conversion, or haven't even run your first campaign, then here's your chance!

(Even if you've had some success running campaigns, you'd be welcomed to enter this contest. But this is mainly for very green newbies.)



BACKGROUND:

I've written a small guide on how to set up a campaign in the EASIEST and CHEAPEST way possible, without even using a tracker.

The process involves investing $10 into PopAds to buy traffic and directing it to a Push Smartlink.

In spite of the 40-day tutorial, many members are still stuck in Analysis Paralysis, or would lose heart after testing only a few offers and not making conversions.

So, we decided to write this guide to help newbies get over that first major hurdle to reach that first major milestone.

I've tested this push smartlink - in fact I've tested a bunch of smartlinks and this converted the best. Payouts are very low, but that's what makes it the ideal offer to get conversions with, and get some practice on optimization.

And the guide is a step-by-step. Almost down to every click and keystroke. With lots of images to illustrate.

I've made it so that you'd have absolutely NO excuse NOT to take action.

If even this guide can't get you to take action - then you should not continue to consider a career in paid traffic. I'm seldom this harsh, but am dead serious...because this is as easy as it'll EVER get!



COSTS:

We've decided to charge $1 for the guide itself.

Why not make it free, you may be asking.

Two reasons.

Firstly, we want you to actually value it enough to take action. If it was just another free guide, you may just toss it aside. I didn't write this guide to have it sitting on people's hard drives to collect digital dust.

Secondly, we thought it'd be fun to pool all the money from the purchases together - and run a contest and give that to the winner.

To follow the instructions in the guide to set up your first campaign, you'll need to deposit $10 into PopAds. That's it.

In terms of time investment, it should take you at most 1-2 hours to set up the campaign - not counting applying to the two networks.

3)Monitor stats at the affiliate network until you get at least one conversion.

4)Start a post in this thread below. Start by posting a screenshot of your aff network stats to show your conversion(s). (See post below this one for instructions on how to take and post screenshots.) This is all it will take to enter the contest.

5)Optional: It would be more fun to continue to edit your post from time to time, to add more progress on how you're optimizing the campaign, and to post more screenshots of results.

Here's how to show screenshots in a forum post (when on desktop - I haven't done this on mobile yet):

1)Install Lightshot:

https://app.prntscr.com/en/index.html

Choose either the Windows or Mac version as appropriate.

2)Launch Lightshot - either by double-clicking on the executable, or by hitting print screen on the keyboard (maybe appear as "PRT SC" or "PrtScn" or similar).

3)Click and drag to select the area of the screen you're wanting to screenshot.

4)In your browser, browse to imgur.com and use keyboard shortcut to paste (in windows it's CTRL+V - I'm not sure about Mac but you can try Command+V (⌘+V)). (No need to click on the imgur.com page before pasting - just make sure the site is your current active browser tab.)

5)Put the cursor on the image in imgur and you'll see 3 dots appear. Click on those, then click "Get share links", then find the "BBCode (Forums)" link and click on its "Copy Link" button.





6)Back on STM - just paste that link into a post and save.

I spent $3,02 in traffic to get $3,439 in revenue, with a 13,87% in ROI!!!

I started the tutorial yesterday. Already registered to PopAds and with some balance added, I needed to wait my approvation on Mobipium, that came today in the morning.
Now I'm waiting that Florencia (my AM at Mobipium) checks my postback URL, because my 75 conversions weren't registered by PopAds.
I'll eventually add Mobipium and Smartlink to Voluum to track everything, but I can't find any info to set it up properly so I don't want to mess up if not necessary.

I'll update my post after some optimization.

What not to do...

So I had the same problem as @zenion but I wasn't smart enough to stop running the campaign and diagnose why there were no conversions right away lol. I ran the campain twice and blindly "optimized" it by removing geos that had under 50 impressions.

I finally figured out that I missed the step where I have to put the tid,pay in the targeting parameters. Once I added those I started seeing conversions but on my already incorrect "optimizations".

Here are my results but now that I figured out what I did wrong I'm going to start a new $10 campaign and try again!




For the geos, the yellow were ones I cut, orange were the ones I was watching that might possibly cut. Again the conversions weren't showing so I incorrectly "optimized" these but the idea is still there I guess lol

These were my results from the first few days of following along with the tutorial. The second day I got my ROI up to over 40% and then the third everything seemed to stop converting and I just stopped it all until I learned more about what to do, but these results were off of $80 in ad spend.

Hey guys, this is my very first campaign. Thanks Amy ! I had a spaghetti of information in my head collected in the last 5 years and finally start to make sense.

I have not do anything else yet, that was 2 days ago.

But... I can see i still making revenue even when Im no running ads. ?
36,642 revenue is 36 dollars or 36K ? My wife wants to know

Im fine with 36 dollars because I only invest 30 on ads. So im breaking even in my first campaign and that makes me very happy.

Your guide is a MUST for procrastinators like me. been a great help in pushing me to take action, it's worth 5K not $1. Thanks you very much
here is the result and the campaign is still generating profit


from day one I have seen good results see below







Then I tried to use another traffic source to scale it so i setup Binom tracker to add also Propeller Ads because the profit was low but they rejected all the campaigns that includes mobipium smartlink which means that for now I can only use popads as traffic source.
Day 2 I launched another push notification smartlink campaign but this time using Binom tracker so I can monetize better and mass cut unprofitable placements quickly.
by the way i tried to mass Identify websites that are in loss by 3 times the payout or more by taking the number in the “Conv. value” column and dividing that by the number in the “Conversions” column using Excel but i get an error see below.




below today's results (clone 1) is the optimized compaigne.



How can i increase the profit ?

I tested every thing,

Bid lower for higher frequencies, if i bid higher the ROI decrease...

I may be a little less than green, but I still consider myself a newbie. Love this guide. I actually don't have a positive campaign, but my ROI of -47% is the highest ROI I have ever had. I'm excited. I've moved on to 5 geo-specific campaigns in PopAds. These screen shots include the initial $10 spend as well as the $6.75 spent on the geo-specific campaigns so far.



Update 6-27-2019
Here's an update on my 5 geo-specific campaigns. I spent $18.57 so far in addition to the initial $10 = total $28.57.

Geo #1
ROI during Multi-Geo: +382%
ROI: -49%
Action: Cut websites and run another $2.50


Geo #2
ROI during Multi-Geo: +24%
ROI: -10%
Action: Cut websites and run another $2.50


Geo #3
ROI during Multi-Geo: +100%
ROI: -25%
Action: Cut websites and run another $2.50


Geo #4
ROI during Multi-Geo: -8% (Thought I might be able to save it)
ROI: -39%
Action: Stop


Geo #5
ROI during Multi-Geo: +28%
ROI: +123%
Action: Cut websites, increase bid by 0.0002 and run another $2.50

Total cost $28.57 divided by income $21.02 = ROI -26% (Getting better )

Keep working hard! Read A LOTTTT, there is so much info in this forum you can spend weeks on!
Test, test, test! The goal is not to make money, but to learn. College/University charges $1,000s & $1,000s and you will probably use 5 classes out of the garbage they force you to take.
Here every penny spent, will actually make you money in the long run!
