How to pay with a debit card?

Hi, finally the day came where I used all my credit cards spending limit, and ATM I can't get more... So I'm trying to add a Maestro debit card, but I don't understand how to. It doesn't have a CSC or a expiration date in the format mm/yyyy, just the year.

I see that a lot of people here pay with debit cards, how do you do it? It's a special type of debit card, or I can get this kind of info from the card somewhere?

I'm running considerable volume on a nice campaign, have to settle this payment ASAP.

Thanks!

edit: I'm on germany, and looks like here you can't use your debit card as a Maestro on the internet... Mods feel free to delete the topic.

I use debit cards for everything, but my debit cards are all MasterCard/Visa branded so they effectively function as a normal credit card, only draw the funds from my banks accounts.

Not sure what Maestro is, so providing the above info is the best i can do for you.

2 Options:
- Get a higher credit card limit.
- Some banks allow you to add extra funds or preypayment to the credit card. So you don't need a high limit as long as you keep adding funds to the card. AMEX allows this. VISA/Mastercard sometimes, depends on your bank.

Maestro debit card is BMO, isn't it? Which is a Canadian bank. Canadian banks don't offer visa/debit cards, which is what the Americans here use to pay with their debit cards. You'll either have to pay off some of your credit cards or get a new one. Or pay with PayPal.

Seems like I haven't reached the limit, is just because the transaction was being made too often, so my bank denied it I guess... Thanks for the input guys, I'll be switching soon to AMEX, they have no spending limit as long as you have the money to cover it.

Got friends in low places? Phone a friend or temporarily plug in your spouses, paretns or siblings CC info, per their approval of course and pay them back promptly with a little incentive, i.e., 5% on top. Just make sure to pay 'em back asap! Obviously you need to have good friends that trust you for this, less conventional offer but tough times call for drastic measures, yes!

Alternatively, you can always request an early payment from your AM and see if they can push to get you a wire out today or first thing tomorrow so you can turn around make a payment on your CC and keep it rolling. If I have affiliates in this situation, I will gladly make the request for them on my end and more often than not we can accommodate these things.

If you're doing good volume, you should also push for weekly payments from your network (or even bi-weekly if possible) and set up auto pay from your checking to your CC on a more regular basis, say weekly or 2x monthly as opposed to once per month. This will also help lower your daily periodic interest rate on your CC while also showing your CC provider you are worthy of a credit increase on your current limits.
