Push subs from POP... WTF

Hey guys,

As a company we're doing rather good in push traffic (well over 7 fig revenues etc.) but that's mostly building subs thru other push, native etc.

We've been cracking our heads getting pop to work d (as a source of traffic to build up push lists) and although we're managing to get some really attractive prices per sub, the subs are WORTHLESS!

I mean like freaking almost no clicks at all.

I would imagine that pop subs are worse than normal, but... THIS bad?

Anyone has some advice? What are we missing here? Should we make sure we only pull in a certain type of traffic, or... ?

The results guaranteed to be worse than with native or other push sources, but still, it has to work to some extent.

Where are you buying the POPs from? And what kind of optimizations have you guys done?

I'm not sure if the advanced bots could actually signup for push notifications (is that even possible?) but the POP environment is known for being quite heavily polluted with fake traffic.

Of course, and I thought it'll be about half or so, but it's not even near, something like 1/10th in terms of clicks generated, and all the clicks are really shite.

We're currently running on Prop, Adcash, PopAds, PopCash. Early on optimization, as it's a little hard to optimize when across the board things look as they look... We're tracking subs performance in a good amount of detail (even per zoneID).

Focused only on carriers (the top ones) for now. Not even looking for any upfront ROI (sending to smartlink after optin) but just trying to get the subs part to work...

Try to buy from some adult network, people look down on them quite often, but if you go with a reputable one, at least you know the traffic is more or less real.

Trafficjunky sells pops for example, ask some of their reps, but to be honest I'm not sure how they feel about aggressive push Lps. Worth a try anyways imo. You can also run some flat deal through traffichaus, in case you have the budget for it. Just make sure you buy from a premium site, RON is probably not the best idea.

Got it, thanks for the tips! Will try. One problem I see with running true adult traffic is that it's 95% (99.9%?) 'private mode' browsing in which case all of them can't opt-in to push. But worth a try I guess.

Shouldn't be the case at all, many people are collecting adult push subscriptions and didn't hear about such high numbers of private mods enabled. Where did you get this info from? Naturally, there will be a higher % of anons compared to regular mainstream browsing, but certainly not 90%+

would love to get an update on that since iv'e tried that in the past but without any good results. iv'e collected the users but the quality was poor.
