Need help with: offer links, S3 bucket, Voluum - ssl, fix up landers and aff networks (7)

Hi!

I'm a newbie following the 40-day pop tutorial and I have a few questions.

My setup:
Network: Mobidea
Traffic sources: ProppelerAds, PopAds
Hosting etc.: AWS (S3, Route 53, CloudFront)
Tracking: Voluum
Spy: AdPlexity
Hardware: Macbook

I made a few direct linking campaings (unfortunately not profitable). Now I want made campaigns with landers (sweepstakes iPhone and Samsung). I bought AdPlexity access, download some landers, and started Fix Up them (Truth is, I'm not doing very well &#128514. My questions below.

1. I'm approved with some sweepstakes offer (SI, ZA, PY countries), but when I click in a offer link I'm redirected to another sites (not related to iPhones, or a form or something). Billings are SMS Billing MO optin or Direct linking Double Optin. I'm now in Poland (I don't know, maybe it matters). Does it work properly?
2. When I try to upload new version of my site to S3 bucket, an error pops up and site is uploaded next day... New version I mean the .html bundle is overwrites with the same name. When I rename the file then it is ok. You guys have that too?
3. I have an entry access to Voluum and I don't know if my new site will run properly. The man from Volume told me that I don't have ssl for custom domain and if I want I can buy a basic access which have ssl for custom domain, but I don't want to spend my money for that (I want to start spending my mony for traffic). Do u have an idea how to solve this? (in AWS I have ssl certificate)
4. I have some landers (from Adplexity) but I don't know which links I should swap... Should I upload this site (version which I downloaded from AdPlexity) to s3 and check when it redirects?
5. Do you know others affiliate networks (for mobile) which allow me as a newbie? Now I have only Mobidea... ClickDealer don't allow me, Gotzha didn't answer me...

Hello

These are fallback redirects. Every (or most) offer is setup to convert a specific type of traffic (geo, device, carrier ...) and when the click doesn't match this, it's redirected to another offer that can convert it. So in case you're testing an offer that targets US and you're browsing from Europe, for example, you will get redirected.

You don't need to use SSL in the beginning, regular http will still work. Of course, in the long run it's advisable to use SSL, but you can solve that later and save some $$$ for now.

Basically, you only need to swap the links that lead to the offer, so the tracking links on the CTAs. They need to point to your trackers click url. In case you don't have coding experience, it would be a good idea to hire some coder to clean a few LPs for you and help you with the initial setup. Then you can learn how to make these changes yourself.

What error message do you get? I sometimes get errors uploading to S3. Removing cache and cookies from my browser helps then, or using another browser. Also I have set my cache control headers for index.html to 1 hour: max-age=3600

Instead of custom domain I use dedicaded domain in Voluum, that comes with free SSL. Legacy domains where shared with other users, but the dedicaded domain is unique per account.

Today I installed crossFTP, and uploaded lander (with the same name) and the error did not occur. I check s3 bucket (via browser) and upload is ok, but when I want to launch a website the new version is not shown... Isn't that supposed to be uploading instantly?

As for the domain, I'll take Matuloo's advice.

With Cloudfront, you have to "invalidate" the files that are changed, otherwise you see the cached (old) version for a while.

I've dealt with it. I don't remember exactly, but I think I changed the TTL settings and it started to work properly.
