Campaign Naming Conventions

Hey,

How does everyone set up their campaign naming conventions. I have run into some problems.
I have a campaign a sweep in the US. I found that the offer converts best when i run 3 separate campaigns to windows 7, windows 10 and windows 8 (each one has a great ROI/Profit)
My current naming convention in Voluum looks like this:

OFFER_PLATFORM_CPM_GEO , and i pass back all the tokens.

In the traffic source I have 3 campaigns set up using the link from the above campaign (all with different bids)
The problem is that the traffic source only passes back the campaign ID and not the campaign name, so to find out which bids are for each campaign i have to match the data in excel.

Not a problem, add the bid to the tracker name I hear you hark!

each time I change the bid I make a new campaign in the source (but keep the one name in Voluum)
Or each time there is a variation, say windows 8 works well, i would set bids in the source there. i.e. you can have n links per campaign. I just dont want to end up with thousands on links in voluum

so how do you guys do it!

In case you are going so granular with your targeting then your naming convention looks fine.

I usually keep it simple, it's something like: SOURCE - GEO (these are default in Voluum) - VERTICAL - DEVICE TYPE - LAUNCH DATE - BID TYPE (CPM/CPC) - ID.

Nothing special. Sometime if I need to distinguish between whitelist or blacklist I add that into the naming as well (WL/BL), or if it's a specific whitelist, let's say specific zone then I add the zone ID in the name.
