How To Improve Facebook Page Score

Hi fellow members,

I have been battling with a recent dilemma which I can't resolve on my own. I heard a lot of good things about STM and so decided to join and post my question here, hoping that fellow STM members can provide some helpful insight :-)

I am running an E-Comm drop shipping store and using Facebook as my main traffic source. I noticed that in the past couple months my page score drastically dropped from a 4.3/5 to 1.9/5. At the same time my CPC has increased by 40% eating into my profit margin. My understanding is if your page score drops below 2, CPC gets more expensive and your ads will reach fewer people.

My sudden and drastic drop in score is due to a backlog with the carriers which unfortunately caused some shipments to be delayed by 2 months. I understand that the factors that goes into calculating the page score primarily includes delivery time, product quality and customer service. My product quality and customer service level is not a concern. Therefore, I am confident that the unfortunate backlog with the carrier is what brought the score average down. Also, my score had averaged 4.3 prior to the backlog, which makes it more the reason that the backlog is the reason for the drop in score. I need to find a way to bring the average back up.

I read all the threads on STM I could find that tackles the issue of a low page score, but found very little literature on this. Of all the threads I could find on this subject, I did implement all the available suggestions but unfortunately they did not help in improving the score. This includes being transparent with the delivery times on my copy, providing good/fast customer service, ensuring high product quality, etc.

I figured since my low page score is due to a larger than normal number of negative reviews. I now need a larger number of positive reviews to bring my score back up. Hence, I have tried to incentivize my customers to provide a positive review. I have tried several different types of incentives including discounts, rewards, etc., but to my surprise this did not motivate customers to leave a positive review :-(

How can I effectively and quickly get customers to leave a positive review? Any advice or helpful insight from others will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Dave

The score is based on the feedback that recent customers provide to Facebook, once the issue is resolved the score will naturaly go up again.

An alternative will be to create a new facebook page.

I think you know all the answers already, since you mention most of them above. I guess patience and keep the delivery/after sales on point will do the trick, if you don't want to jump on a new FB page.

Thanks for the response @rpatrocinio! Would creating a new page running to the same store cause a flag/ban by Facebook? Thank you

How To Improve Facebook Page Score

Your risk a ban because they have to review your ads again with the new page.

But that depends mostly on how strong your accounts are!

Thereby I don’t think FB will make a big deal about one page having a score of 2. The more you have the worse your reputation will be, chance bigger getting banned.

Thanks @stickupkid for the insight, much appreciated. I will try a couple other things and if all else fails will try a new page. I'll provide an update here if I get it to work.

Not at all, Facebook allows you to advertise with any page you have.

Just bear in mind... this is from FB website : "Any attempt to circumvent these penalties (such as by creating new advertising pages after we enforce on existing pages for violations of our policies) will be in violation of our circumventing systems policy, and may remain subject to enforcement."
