Choosing a niche and sticking to it (preferably choose something where you have an unfair advantage to beat the competition)


Hey you,

So, this has been on my mind for a while: I've even posted about it before.

My niche is software... I'm a software engineer.

Where do you find the affiliate offers for software products?

I can't seem to find a satisfactory answer. The only thing that I have seen and checked out are anti-virus offers, "PC cleaners," and etc.

I want to drive traffic to software products. This is my niche and specialty after all... It seems I would have an advantage with these.

Do you know if there are any networks that specialize in the software niche specifically? Do you have to "just find out" about these offers at conferences?

There are loads of crypto softwares, but you can find others as well, you can see as well network who has the offer.

I remember Mackeeper/Kromtech having huge budgets for mediabuy/affiliate marketing etc..

It depends what kind of software you are looking for to promote.

You could check Avangate or Cleverbridge.
They have lots of software affiliate programs.

Big brands and mainstream software as well as very niche specific software.

For more affiliate like software you could check JV Zoo.

it seems like many of the offers I see on there are stale or have little activity (when I look for them in spy tools) or is it just me?

MacKeeper itself is a whitehat offer but it works good with BH landers

Yes, it is because they have many very niche specific programs.

On spy tools you will rather find more mainstream offers

Well, good strategy right now if you are having the right product contact a lot of affiliate network and try to convince them about your quality. There is not a lot of places to promote it, you choose a very specific niche so it's gonna be tricky to find the right audience to promote them.
