I want to continue driving down the CPC, what would be the recommended optimization tactics to do this within adwords?

Cheers!

If your ads are attractive/relatable to your audiences and it's not perceived as a somewhat negative ad, your CPC should be lowered.
Use their Dynamic Ad feature if you want (or split-test manually) because it's totally dependent on the ad & the audience.

You can either work on decreasing your CPC or increasing your conversion rates.

metoliks makes a valuable point about conversion rate/s. If you are focused on CPCs which has it's place of importance, however not more importance on conversion rates you may end up with a longer term issue.

1. Your comment of dropping cpc seems to suggest your conversion rates are potentially not high enough and to be worked on, conversion rates tend to be influenced a lot easier with landing page testing in relation to your ads. Ad platform's CPCs metrics can be manipulated on whatever terms they prefer even if you are doing all the so called best actions.

2. In the image you provided what's the keyword positioning? Maybe you may want to consider seperate ad groups+unique ad copy for selected words if there is enough traffic volume, if not enough traffic volume even more of a reason point 1 to be worked on hard.

Take a look at search terms and add some negative keywords, through that you don't (directly) get the CPC down but you get rid of irrelevant traffic.

Hey Santavittoria,

I'm not sure what keywords you are bidding on, but the average CPC in google is a little bit over $2.00 and the average quality score is about 7. So, in my opinion, you should be focusing on your conversions rate and ways to increase that, such as landing page/ funnel optimization and split testing.

Also, the other thing I would be looking at is expanding your keyword reach, unless you are already at your max spend.
