Kill or cure? Has this camp got a future?

Hi all,

In the last few days I’ve scored 90 sign ups for a forex trading product by sending push traffic to a landing page, which passes them on direct to the trading product site.

The signups are coming from Nigeria.

I get paid $250 when the customer deposits $200 and starts trading.

It’s costing me about $3.10 per sign up, so far I’ve spent c $280 against a $250 payout.

My affiliate manager tells me that in the UK they would expect 5% of signups to turn into fee earners.

Not a single one of the signups has deposited any money yet, let alone started trading.

What would you chaps do?

My current instinct is to get their email addresses before passing them on to the trading product, then mail them some advice on trading to tip them over the line. (Haven't tested whether they'll sign up to that yet, and it's a few days to get the email sequence together so I'd rather not go there if it's a dead camp.)

Thanks for any / all opinions.

You will get very few forex traders from nigeria who will deposit 200 bucks right away. You need to target UK and EU countries

Why did you choose Nigeria?
Based on what?

@dynamicsoul - I was wondering that, yes.

@erikgyepes - I threw up a worldwide test of propellerads just to get some fast data to test I had the tracking set up correctly. I noticed a disproportionately large number of click through from Nigeria, so I created a stand alone campaign targeted just on Nigeria. I stopped it on Friday, it went on getting clicks over the weekend, it's finished by generating over 100 signups, at a cost of $2.95 per sign up.
