Case study Ecom

Hi, saw this case study:

https://propellerads.com/blog/adv-th...stakes-roi-87/

BUT:

1.He says its a sweepstake but according to the case study it was push 》 product page, so not sure where's the sweepstake

2.He made 38 sales of 2.9 EUR each and spent over $700, he claim that the program paid him over $1500. Again, not sure what company would pay $1500 in commission for $120 sales (let's assume its worth them cause they got cc details and in LTV it'll become profit).

Bottom line, would love to hear more experiences with Ecom and push...

It is not ecom, it is a creditcard submit offer.

He promoted the offer stating that people can win/get sneakers for just €2.90 which is the initial payment taken from their creditcard.

Flow: Push ad > Sweepstake lander (you have won!) > Creditcard submit offer.

As it is a creditcard submit offer the payout can range anywhere from $10 to $40.

Ok, it makes much more sense 😀

1.so to "participate" every viewer should pay 2.9 eur, right?

2.but no one actually gets any shoes (beside the winner)

Yup that's right, they pay these 2.9 to enter the draw. These offers are usually "recurring" so the people get charged again after certain time period, and get more tickets for the draws, or something like that. That's why they can afford to pay $20+ for such leads, those 2.9 are just the first charge.

2.but no one actually gets any shoes (beside the winner)
Yup, that's the meaning of sweepstakes, it's basically like a lottery. Take lotto as an example, millions of people buy the tickets, but only a fraction of them actually wins something. To be honest, with these affiliate sweeps offers, you never know who get's some prize, it all come down to the honesty of a particular offer owner.

Ok, so they got 38 conversions in total which means 38 people paid 2.9 EUR?

Yes, from the traffic they've sent, 37 users converted, which means that they paid those 2.9 eur each. But based on the calculation : $1430 revenue / 37 = $38.64, the offer actually paid almost $40 per conversion to the affiliate. CCsubmit offers can have such high payouts, even higher in some niches.

Basically - yes.

But then the advertiser starts billing them with recurring fees. Usually we are talking about very high fees.

The advertiser is not losing here, dont worry about him. His ROI is more than decent.

I'm sure he wasn't generous in this deal

Would still like to see some offer in LIVE to see how they make it, they tell the user that it's 2.9 EUR every X time?

If someone have such live link, please share it..
