I submitted an 8-12 word translation for an ad copy but I guess their moderation team have upped their restrictions on what can and can't be translated as only about 1 word made it through although I was billed for the full 8-12. I submitted a second time and it happened again.
So are there any fast translation service alternatives?
Whats disturbing is that they billed me for the full amount without any reimbursements, I was billed for 8-12 but only one word was actually approved for submission by their team. I guess they're getting tired of their AM customers
Try Gengo.com
I always used Fiverr for this kind of translations. It's much cheaper than OHT.
If I wanted to receive the translation fast, I just sorted based on Number of Reviews and then check for providers that were online.
Fiverr is my choice.
Gengo for fast Adcopy turnaround, Fiverr for long page translations (cheaper :P)
Have a look at https://www.localizationguru.com/ we only worked with a daughter company that did adult translations and we were pretty happy. Can not guarantee for the headcompany but if they have the same standards then the adult one you should be fine
Another vote for fiverr/upwork for such tasks. Once you test a few freelancers, you should be able to find some reliable ones, that you can go back to for more.
Iamattila also has a service like this, transey.com... never used it personally though, so can't comment on the quality or turnaround speed, but could be an option too.
There is one more option that I'm using from time to time, I have affiliate friends from all parts of the world, and they don't mind to translate a short sentence for me occasionally. The AMs at networks I work with can also help in many cases, they often speak several languages and since I'm promoting their offers, they don't mind to translate a sentence or two for me when I need it urgently.
I love Gengo, much faster and nicer UX than OHT. But if you need longer texts, better to hire someone from Upwork.
Guys, I just got rejected by a couple of freelancers on fiverr. Told them content was adult/erectile dysfunction in nature. Instead of going to individuals, I have decided to post a job on upwork. Before I do that, is it ok for me to publicly state the nature of the content or there are pitfalls that I'm not seeing?
www.transey.com - 50% cheaper than OHT
