Classifieds + Online Surveys = 90% CR
Today I want to share a quickie with you that I posted on my blog few days ago.
It´s no long story and nothing spectacular.
But it shows that you can have good success when you get little bit creative with what you do.
Few years ago I was running some campaigns for online survey offers.
As traffic I used classified traffic.
I ran the campaigns in Canada so I used Kijiji to post my ads there.
First I tested with free ads but the problem was that they were pushed down pretty fast when new ads were posted.
Then I ran the campaigns with paid ads and it worked very good. (EDIT BY VORTEX: This is important! Most classified ads are strict about spam, so paid traffic may be your best bet. Please see this post: https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...l=1#post371259)
The Ad Setup
I don´t have the exact text anymore but it was something like
“We pay for your opinion.
We work with big companies who wants to know what you think about their products”.
It was just a rather short text with a link to my landing page.
I posted it in “Part Time & Students” jobs.
Price was about $25 or so per ad for a week and I just posted in the biggest cities and regions.
Mostly after some time my account got banned so I just opened a new one with new VCC and continued.
The Landing Page
The landing page itself also was very simple, basically just telling that we work together with the biggest and most reliable companies.
These companies are interested in getting opinions and that they pay for it ($75-$100/Day possible).
Then there was a comparison of three different offers, all rated 5 starts and with few positive bullet points.
In the end it was mostly only one offer that converted really good so I could just have that one offer on the lander.
But tests showed that conversions are better when users have more offers to chose from.
With a good offer these campaigns converted VERY good.
I had up to 90% conversion rate and also never had quality issues with the network.
The campaigns made good $XXX/Day in revenue so it was pretty easy and nice money.
As stupid as it sounds but I just stopped with it because I got bored from doing it.
I hope you enjoyed this little story, will post more of it later.

Nice share twinaxe!
Would this method still work as well today?
It's always nice to see how some out-of-the-box thinking can pay off!

Yes, this method still works.
I used to do something similiar (with a slight twist) a few years back but with credit reports and made mid 6 figures. Classifieds traffic is so over looked but it converts if your funnel is spot on.

Good question, maybe worth a try.
But I don´t see why it shouldn´t work anymore today.

Google's your friend:

Just one thing to be aware of: Classified ads sites have stricter measures in place to flag accounts for spamming, so start slow and don't go overboard. I tried a bit of this several years back and that was the major deterrent. (Of course back then I didn't know what I do now on how to create multiple accounts.

I only did it on Kijiji so I can't tell what other sites are good for it.
I know that people also made tons of money on CL.
But as Amy said, classified sites can be pretty strict when it comes to spam.
The reason I used Kijiji is that I could use paid ads there so my ad was always on top and I didn't have to spam the website.

^^
MAJOR takeaway right there!
For anyone that wants to give this method a shot: I would suggest to start by checking each and every major online classified site you can find to identify those that have paid ads, and test from there!

twinaxe Would you mind if I linked to this info from your original post? (Of course you can do that yourself as well if you feel it'd be appropriate!) Thanks buddy!

My posts are yours

Of course you can link whatever you want.
Yesterday I also posted the third part of the affiliate program overkill on my blog.
Will post it here today as well when I am online on my PC.

Did I miss some subtlety as to why that point was uber significant?
Of course you would hit the paid ad spots first. It's the fastest way to find out if the traffic is worthwhile...no?
That said, Airbnb "growth hacked" aka spammed their way to a billion dollars by "posting" for free on craigslist.

Nice share twinaxe my man, nice ROI cash builder! There are tonnes of possibilities using traffic like this, I had similar early campaign many years ago now although was using paid listings on adult classifieds linked to casual dating offers. The key here is how cheap the post is each week, but you nailed it with the higher payout biz offers

That point was particularly significant to me, because most courses/tutorials that cover how to make money from online classifieds, would show how to spam using free ads - or at least that was the way it was when I dabbled with this myself (which was at least 5-6 years ago).
To be honest I never even noticed that these classified sites HAD paid advertising available for buying.
So that was the "eureka" for me. Thought I'd highlight that so members won't try to spam for free and lost their accounts - because that method did work well once, but no longer does.

Great post!
What affiliate programs work best with Kijiji? I tried asking my AM from MaxBounty and he said it's a big no for promoting CPA offers on classified sites. Any advice?

It´s years ago since I ran the stuff and I also only used Kijiji paid ads.
Maybe someone else can tell more about CL.
