My Facebook 30! (5)

My Facebook 30!

Hi all,

I`ve been pretty quiet since i`ve joined because of info overload... (yeah same newbie story) .

Any--Who, it`s time to take ACTION!

I`ll create my Follow-A-Long out in the good `ol privacy of the PUBLIC forum here mostly to keep me accountable and focused on this traffic source for the next 30 days.

Feel free to chime in , as I am a blank slate here and all help is most certainly welcome...

Details:

Offer : Instant Checkmate
Network: A4D
Payout: $21
Converts: cc trial submit

Benefit: Allows subscribers to see public arrest records.

I came up with a few angles for this , but here are the first 2 I`ll start with . I need something to test against so , one angle I borrowed from the FB Ads Tool here and it goes as follows:

Title: Check Arrest Records!

Body: Search Anyone! Check Public Arrest Records: 1- Enter Name. 2- See full Background Check. Unlimited Searches!

My AM at A4D told me this offer was doing well with an older female demo on facebook , so I will start testing this demo:

US , Female 45 - 54

Q: Im not sure which ages are converting and on what angle , but I guess there is no way to know unless I test it... Not sure if I should have split up the ages from the start ie only US , Female , 45 in one ad and US, Female, 46 in the next...

Just to stay in motion , I decided to test the broad demo first . . . Was this a mistake?

Images:

I read what stackman had to say about high CTR images , so I looked for a few with celebrity impossible images on worth1000.com.

Decide to go with the celebrity mug shots.

Target:
For my target I just selected movies that Jessica Alba starred in .

Bid:

I bid a bit under the max suggested bid .40 CPM and I set my budget at $10/day

So my final ad looked as follows:

The Second angle is the "Creepy Neighbour" angle...

You know , there are those people who have people that live in their neighbourhood that just make their skin crawl. That`s who I`m targeting. Especially the nosy neighbours who seem to always be in everyone`s business. ... Yeah, I want to target those people too , give them something else to do with their time besides stare out the window....

Any-who,

Here is the image I`m using for this, also from worth1000.com+ PS Sharpening...

Title: Creepy Neighbours?

Body: Search Anyone! Check Public Arrest Records: 1- Enter Name. 2- See full Background Check. Unlimited Searches!

Demo:US , Female 45 - 54
Target: Fox News Channel, and the like..

Bid: .50 CPM , budget 10/day

Final ad looked like this:

I`m taking polarbacon`s advice about running the same ad 4-5 times in the same camp to see if I can get a good placement and get those lovely impressions , and because I can RESPECT the POwEr of the unicorn when it`s pink..

5 in the same campaign for both Campaigns. Now just waiting on ad approval.

Fingers crossed, hope I get approved...

Feel free to kick me in the right direction at any time guys if you think I need it.

I have about 100+ more images but I needed to do a ton less reading and `preparing` and alot more Action and Do-ing so .....here goes!

Peace

Day 1:

After the first day all my ads were disapproved. Not quite sure of the reason, could be that the terms and conditions of the offer are not clear in my ad :

"
Lead Generation
Any advertised or sponsored offer or opportunity must fully disclose the offer terms and conditions (e.g. commitment length, cost, etc.) and include a privacy policy disclosing how user information is collected and used. "

I will try to adjust the ads , resubmit them and see what happens.

Adding the phrase "for subscribers" to the ads so the new ads look like this:

and

Q: Any ideas why I got disapproved?

I think that could be problem.

Day 2: Today one set of ads were approved :
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/72/001bl.png/

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images...3approved.png/

The best 2 ads had a CTR of .034% and .032% with 3 clicks a piece and both had about a Reach of 3200.

Total
10 Clicks
.023% CTR
5269 Campaign Reach
8.3 Frequency
Spent $10.28
0 Conversions

Q: Should I pause this ad as a loser or try to increase my CTR by testing different images?

I will pause it for now while I hear what you think, and I will post another ad this time using a different celebrity , Dominic Purcell.

Why did I choose him?

Well his was one of the pictures I found on worth1000.com that I recognized, so I thought I`ll test it.

I`ll use the same ad copy and target people who like his movies.

So here goes:

Let`s see what happens.

The other set of ads unfortunately were not approved:

I think that could be problem.
You may be right , what do you suggest as to how to get around this? Being that one set of ads got approved to the same destination, was that just luck?

I will try resubmitting the disapproved ads , maybe FB doesnt like the headline "Creepy Neighbors?" I will try using a different headline. "See Arrest Records Online"

Hey man good luck! Great to see you taking action

When I ran ads on fb in the summer (when I had absolutely no clue what I was doing ie. before I joined STM) I found direct linking to zip submits was most successful, they are the easiest to convert. CC submits were way harder to get, so difficult to test without larger budgets..

Looking forward to seeing your progress man
