My AM gave me some offers that all by default come with their own pre-landers. I talked about it and got suggested, that the advertiser can remove it.
But I was thinking, there are three ways working with this:
1) run the offer with its own prelander
2) run the offer with your own prelander(s) (removing the prelander from the offer)
3) run the offer with your own prelander(s) (removing the prelander from the offer) AND run the offer with its own prelander
Regarding last point, these are two creatives then - one is just an offer and another is offer+pre-lander.
And I've seen so far few offers that do that, but now the majority of them I got recommended from AM, only contain offer+pre-lander (can't add my own, unless I ask them to modify)
As always, only real life tests will give you the answers for your questions
I've done a fair share of testing such offers in the dating niche and these are my findings:
1. In about 60%-70% of the tests, I did the best when using my own landing page, then sending the click to the offer with a built-in prelander.
2. In some cases, this didnt work, so I tried to directlink an offer with built-in prelander. With the right banners, I was able to reach solid results. I think it had to do with the fact that some of my LPs were too long and sending them through additional prelanders that the offer had built-in, simply resulted in a too bid drop off.
Removing the prelander from the offer and then using my own LPs equals to the standard way of running campaigns, so no need to comment on that.
To sum it up, if you find an offer that has GOOD prelander built-in, it can work well directlinked. But in most cases, it's still better to use your own LP on top of that.
Keep in mind these were just my results and yours might vary!

? It's not my prelander, so I can't put my custom tracker url for tracking clicks to offer. Any workarounds or ideas how to approach this?
