Here are some suggestions:

1. My recommendation would be to choose a plan of action, test and stick with that. Learn to make it work. Whether that's facebook ads, SEO, content, email, youtube whatever. Every one of the options mentioned works, but never as a mix. There's always one that works for you, your business and market.

Research, so some small test (low risk, fast implementation) and move forward.

2. Read and research

Read to develop yourself, research to learn about your market
Connect to others where possible (just start posting here about your journey and people will connect naturally)
Ask questions that show you have put in some work (every experienced person on this forum will know exactly where you are from the questions you ask)

Also, make use of the resources that are already available, like the cookbook (link)
Or read threads in this section, where a lot of vaulable comments have been made by members and mods alike.

3. This is why you have to research your market and read.

I could let you know my best performing product and you would not be able to do much with it. Because this has to do with affordances:
- My current volume gets me a very low buying price
- I know where to buy it at this price
- I have enough resources to cover 5 figure weekly purchases

Your competition with bestsellers will have similar advantages, like a large list of repeat buyers for example.

Most of all, it's knowledge about what works and what doesn't. A bestseller could bring little to no profit for example, but could be a must-have to sell something else.

The only way to find out is to specialise in a market and do your research through small, rapid experimentation (making small bets) and earn through doing

4. We use Junglescout to find out how a product is doing on Amazon, but that's only for the Amazon part of the business. A tool is exactly that though, a tool. It's not the end-all be-al solution.

5. Every market has a lot of potential. What you are looking for are things like low barrier to entry, a different approach to the way existing business is being done, a new way to approach the market, a new customer group to reach, a new way of framing what the product does etc. And combinations of the above.

6. My approach would be to start with your own site and brand, as it provides the highest level of ownership. Use marketplaces to expand quickly and scale.

So now what?

You've got the answers, so what you need to do know is do some of that research and start your own thread.

Tell peope what you have done and start asking specific questions. Like I have done X, found out Y, considering doing Z next. These are my constraints, these are my resources, this is my goal, what would you recommend.

Good luck!
