Desktop Conversions on Pop Traffic?

I'm using PropellerAds for a campaign and I thought the traffic was all mobile users.

On one campaign, I forgot to specify mobile devices and I found I was actually making a profit on desktop conversions.

How am I getting desktop conversions on pop traffic?

You posted the answer yourself.
You forgot to specify mobile, then you also receive desktop traffic and when it converts you get "desktop conversions".
Don't make the mistake to think that Pop traffic is only from mobile.

I made the assumption that PropellerAds (and similar traffic sources) solely focused on mobile traffic. I guess they also target desktop traffic.

I forgot to mention I specified a carrier and only 3G traffic. Is this a case of laptops that are tethered to their phones?

As twinaxe mentioned, POPs are not just mobile, the format has been around even before anyone heard about a smartphone.

Think of it like this: Every site has a Desktop site and most have also Mobile web traffic. Streaming sites have tons of mobile and desktop users. Most sites usually build a mobile oriented site for their mobile users but their main focus is desktop
