Hey there! So I'm relatively new to Affiliate Marketing and my affiliate manager has given me a sweeps offer to run (Clickdealer).
The thing is, when I follow the URL of the offer, I am lead to another lander that pretty much does what my lander would do. And then that lander leads to another offer.
At first I just thought it was weird, but then I found the lander for the offer on Adplexity as well. The exact same one.
My question:
Is this normal? My first instinct was that maybe another affiliate made an affiliate offer on Clickdealer to promote their lander for another affiliate offer... But if that were the case, why would my AM recommend it to me saying that it got a lot of conversions?
Any insights would be helpful (:
Are you sure you actually landed on the offer you wanted to? Pretty much all networks/advertisers have more or less advanced GEO/device detection in place and in case the click doesn't match what they want, it get's redirected to a fallback offer. More on this in a blog post I wrote some time ago: http://www.matuloo.com/damn-fallback...es-fight-them/
Another option is that the offer is setup like that, some offer have tours that look like a standard affiliate landing page.
I'm pretty sure it's one of the two above mentioned options.
Ah okay yeah that makes sense
Thanks a lot, @matuloo.
Could be 2 reasons:
1) You were redirected because you not matched the target geo
2) The offer actually comes with a prelander, if thats the case you can ask you AM for a version without a prelander
