Push Camp Setup with Binom and Propeller

Hi Everyone!

I'm starting to learn about push and have some basic questions about setting up a campaign using Propeller traffic and Binom as my tracker. I have a profitable camp in pops that I want to try to run on push traffic as part of scaling. I set up a campaign and ran a tiny bit of traffic to it and I have some questions about my results and setup.

1. On Propeller, it looks like it allows me to create 8 different creatives(title, description, thumbnail, image) per campaign. Is this what I should use to split test different creatives? If so, how would I be able to track the different creatives in Binom? Or should I be creating completely new campaigns for the split test?
2. For my initial test I selected CPM, but the costs did not show up in Binom. Should I be choosing CPC instead? Or am I stuck manually updating costs everyday running push? Related to this, impressions don't show up in Binom, only clicks so how can costs be accurate with CPM? Is there a way to get impressions to show up on Binom or is that not necessary? I can see the impressions and CTR on Propeller, and on Binom I can see the clicks and LP CTR. I'm really confused with this, I hope someone can help clarify for me.
3. Is each "click" recorded in Binom an "allow" click? Or is it the sum of both "allow" and "block"?
4. Are zone IDs for pop and push completely different and separate? (ie. I can't use my pops blacklist on push traffic?)

I hope my questions make sense.

Thank you!

Hello, let me answer your questions :

1. On Propeller, it looks like it allows me to create 8 different creatives(title, description, thumbnail, image) per campaign. Is this what I should use to split test different creatives? If so, how would I be able to track the different creatives in Binom? Or should I be creating completely new campaigns for the split test?
This is a new feature in propeller, in the past it was just 1 ad per capaign, so we had to create multiple campaigns. Now you can split test several creatives within one campaing. In order to track the different ads in Binom, use the special token provided by propeller and make it part of the link : {bannerid} In case you're not sure how to add it, paste one of your binom campaign urls and I will show you how to do it. But I'm sure you've added some tokens into the current campaign urls, so you should know how to add another one.

With CPC you can use the {cost} token and it will be quite accurate. With CPM, there is no way to track costs accurately, since the CTR is not stable ... which means you will have to update the costs manually. And even then, the costs won't be accurate because every placement has a different CTR. To reach 100% accuracy, you would have to pull csv reports and compate them in excell, for example. I would suggest to switch to CPC for now.

4. Are zone IDs for pop and push completely different and separate? (ie. I can't use my pops blacklist on push traffic?)
These should be different I believe.

I had the same confusion regarding costs not showing in Propeller when using CPM with push. Thanks for clearing that up, will switch to CPC!
