Is anyone familiar with approaches that sites like Facebook downloader are using for ranking in SERP?

Lately, I noticed there is a new service one the #1 position in SERP for keyword "fb download" > https://fbdownload.io/. This site is also on top spots for other similar keyword like: facebook video download, .....

What's more interesting is domain age.

Creation Date: 2018-08-24



Any idea how a domain with less than 500 words can rank so high on such a competitive keyword?

Probably using a strong linkfarm to boost quickly? I know some guys doing this continously with casino sites. Rank for a short term via not-so-legit wats before they get caught and do the same trick over and over again!

It looks like the vast majority of their backlinks are from qdownloader.net - a site-wide link from their menu:



As to how qdownloader.net managed to have such high PR - will post the backlinks profile shortly (waiting the SERPed to generate report).

Nice find!

I like how these simple sites are doing so well.

I used to know a similar one that was an ultimate downloader from all kind of services like YouTube, Vimeo, FB etc.
The guy (Slovakian btw) literally coded it while he was on a long flight.
He was running it on a cheap VPS and banking $30k monthly.

Apparently quite a lot of sites are using their service to download youtube videos and vids from other video sites.

These sites would embed youtube videos on their sites for example, then include a "download video" link which allows visitors to use the qdownloader service to download the videos.

So the "secret" to this site is just that it's a useful service, that sites can only use by including a link back to their site (it's the only way to use the download tool!)

Well. It looks like solid boost from PBN's. No matter which content he has he might get rank easily.

Actually for PBN's you can handle ranks for long time, as long as you are hiding from google, because they started to punished this technique. Way more effective than churn and burn

Build your own. Buying PBN links from someone else puts your site at a much higher risk of getting caught. Unless you personally have a friend who has their own private PBN, and you're the only other person they're giving links to... it's a lot of work to build your own but I cannot imagine the risk is worth buying from someone else's network unless you can vet them incredibly well.

good point but damn building my own pbn ill need to take some online courses as there is 100s of different ways to build pbn network

You can build it by your own which is good in long term especially if you are trying to get more sites for own seo. Otherwise look for good one on other sites marketpiece and remember to read an opinions about it. Also it's good to know if your PBN is niche related to your site. Right now it's not big boosts about it, but google in the future will pay attension about it.
