Facebook for affiliate marketing, Traffic? or Conversion(Purchases)? or Engagement?

hello,
seek for your advice
i have had some experience and little success in fb+dropshipping but decided that its a huge headache handling clients inquiries and complains. I dived into the fb ads with conversion (purchases), and retarget my client with my sites visits using fb pixels. Eventually based on 50+ sales made LAAs.

Question:
for affiliate marketing e.g. fb+giddyup, can we still use conversion with purchases objective? if yes, can anyone pls share how? I just cant think it through, fb pixels in our landing pages have no record on the sales, the postback url from affiliate network will be to the tracker (Bemob in my case)

so how can i optimize and scale up using LAAs in this case?

for sure traffic and post engagement wont be an issue, but how do we make it work in using conversion purchases?

because if i am not mistaken ( correct me if i am wrong on this as well ), for LAA to work most effectively, its always to use pixels that fb record which traffics get the most sales and this can scale to infinitely. with traffic and engagement objective, not that we cant scale, but it be that effective?

80% of the youtube and tutorials out there are related to dropshipping + fb or their own products ecom store. with fb+ affiliate products seems to be quite rare.

thank you very much in advance.

you can. if you give the network your fb pixel id, they will load it up through the backend, and fire accordingly.
the way it works is this:
you get an uniqe link, the link passes you id to the backend, the backend finds your pixel through that id, then fire the pixel accordingly.

I know some networks will put your FB pixels on their offer pages. Have you asked?

(EDIT: Haha just saw that @cawovt has suggested the same already.)

On every offer within GiddyUp under the section testing tab is where you put the "purchase" pixel, and you can place the rest of the code under the events tab for other things like "add to cart", "page view", "initiate checkout" etc, under the associated pixel code section. It is a cake back end so pretty standard if you dealt with a few networks. You don't need to ask your account mgr or offer to do this for you, in fact it's kind of annoying for them as they have bigger fish to fry.

As far as a conversion campaign is concerned, on Facebook- you pretty much always want to optimize for your goal. PPE, traffic, etc- you're just going to get what you ask for. You want someone to purchase? Then conversion is telling facebook you want people with buyer's intent. The beauty of algorithm bases advertising network. If is want people to like or click? PPE / Traffic campaign. Sure you MIGHT get sales from that campaign but it's certainly not optimized for such.

LLA is definitely 50+ PURCHASES, or better yet, earlier on you can create LLA for other obtainable metrics such as people who have initiated a checkout, or added to cart. Ninja trick being use a video in your ad and LLA a collection of people who have watch 75%+ of the video or more.

Hope that helps.
