Dynamic Insertion Question - Does city or state work better? (2)
Hey guys,
When it comes to dynamic insertion of a city or state in a headline, what have you had the most success with? Using city or the state? Looking forward to hearing about it. Thanks as always!
There is one problem with city detection ... it's not always accurate, so in some cases it can do more harm than good. It can also mess up the angle and make it totally unbelievable. Let's imagine you get a visit from some small town with 5000 people and you tell them there are 541 females wanting to meet in that city, for example 
That's not gonna work.
This being said, when targeting large cities, where the GEOIP tools usually work quite accurate and there is ton's of people around ... city targeting worked best for me.
When running country wide, I often had better results with just the state or even the country as a whole.
And in many cases, all I needed was to use something like "within 7 miles from your location" and it outperformed both city and state callout.
