Anybody doing "like-building" and listbuilding with Facebook wants to share their stats?
My (based on 1 week of experience :-) opinion is that the FB app connect optin is overhyped and overvalued. Why? because I use double optin and get only 30% confirmed, so 70% of my potential new "friends" are lost! It could be my setup, my niche, whatever, but that´s my result so far.
OK; here are some more stats. If anybody wants to share their stats that would be cool to see what could be more likely to work the best. 1 week of testing within Facebook :-) -->
1. ad to FB app : 15% optins to clicks, only 5% confirmed optins to clicks (35% of those opted in confirmed their email), plus lots of LIKES (plus 71% LIKES of total clicks)
2. ad to FB tab optin landing page (asking explicit for email): not enough tested to have reliable data, this is being tested right now
3. ad to external LP (asking explicitly for email): 21% optins to clicks, 15% confirmed optins to clicks (plus 70% of those opted in confirmed their emails), disadvantage: hardly any LIKES.
Oh yeah, my average CTR thru testing these different options was 0.11% so far. Despite of doing "forbidden" things like pausing campaigns, changing things regularly, etc.
Look forward to those doing listbuilding with Facebook share their stats and views, anybody?!
x2 opt-in is always a bitch... I'm using single opt-in and have tripled my conversions.. I'm using fbfist (app) so my path is Ad --> Fbfist --> Fan page like. I've put 20K fans in one of my pages in mexico for less than $0.06/fan and have bunch of emails
Aweber and mailchimp I believe recently launched new fb apps for email submit
fb app ftw....SOI....invest in the list for a while....don't mail till your over 1000 emails.....then start to clean out the list...there is nothing wrong with SOI....no matter what anyone else has told you.....you just have to be wise with it......
stay away from mail chip.....they are hard assed about aff marketing
if you target correctly on fb with apps you can get crazy optin rates....just have to be smart about it....
Anyone have recommendations for something besides FBFist - it says they are sold out..
The only experience ive had where I can quote numbers is that I did >
ppv popup > click to FB App > optin
I got 23% CTR and of the people clicking over 70% opted in.
It was single optin.
