Anyone know any good phone lead tracking (sending of) systems?

Hi guys,

So here is the scenario. We have a directory we are trying to build. And I want to have it so when people click to call a phone number of people in our directory, it sends the call to the listing owner via a lead tracking system of some kind.

When a customer tries to call a member of our listing, I want the business owner related to the listing to receive a phone call something like this:

"Hello, this lead has been brought to you by "Business Name". To continue receiving leads like this, claim your listing within the next week."

Then the lead is transferred from our lead tracking system directly to the business owner as normal.

After the customer has received a number of leads from us, hopefully, they might be then more inclined to look us up and claim their listing. Our sales team could then also use the analytics data from this outbound phone system to take action and reach out to these business owners directly.

I've heard of systems like this in the past, but when it came down to actually tracking a solution down I came up with nothing.

Check out each of these guys:
* EDIT: Invoca
* DialogTech
* CallRail

I had a brief tenure at one of these companies when I wanted to learn sales -- I'm 95% sure our system was able to handle exactly what you described, though I never got 100% into the weeds, which is why I'm still 5% hesitant.

A couple of these guys should also be able to give you attribution at granular levels and intelligent routing as well, depending on where/what you're running.

LMK if you have any specific questions and I might be able to figure out an answer for you.

Thank you Angle. This is encouraging and quite useful. We are going to give all 3 of these a really good look over.

I appreciate the offer of helping me with some of your experience too should any questions arise. Going to go dig into things now.

Cheers!

For anyone who finds this thread because they might be interested a similar solution;

We ended up going with Call Rail instead of Dialog Tech. Vocado didn't seem to be an option anymore sadly.

Dialog Tech started around $1500/month, which is a heavy investment for an untested business directory like I am building.

However, Call Rail starts around $50/mo or $150 if you want all the fancy features.

Pretty fancy features too! Both allow you to transcribe the conversation between the Lead and the Service Provider!! So you can tell if the lead turned into a sale or not.

Obviously, you would then want your sales team to begin reaching out to the Service Providers who actually got business from the call. Neat stuff!

So the price difference mentioned above is mostly about service it seems. Dialog Tech is more of a managed phone routing / lead scoring system. Where as Call Rail is much more DIY.

In my case, the DIY approach made more sense. However, the moment the concept proves itself as valid and income can support the upgrade we are likely to switch to Dialog Tech despite the massive price differences.

Managed services are just the way to go, they get addicting. I like having professionals manage our tech for us.

Thanks again @Angel-Lytics! Your feedback was very useful to us!

Awesome! Glad I was able to help.

Can I ask why vocado was no longer an option? From what I've heard, vocado is very affiliate friendly (though this is more towards the CPA side).

Also, DT should have a self serve small business option for about $100-200/mo. I'm surprised they didn't offer that to you.

Best of luck with this concept. The execution plan sounds interesting!

Hi Angrel-lytics,

Well regarding Vocado, it was mostly because I could not locate it. All I was able to find regarding it was a page telling me Oracle had purchased it? But I was confused because the description of the service Oracle bought doesn't sound like any kind of call routing and analytics service.

https://www.oracle.com/corporate/acquisitions/vocado/

I would actually really like to hear from you about this. Because it seems Call Rail is not going to work out for us. Then DT seems super expensive (Will ask them about the self serve small business option now that I know it is a thing from you!!).

If Vocado is still an option somehow, I would love to learn of it. Maybe it has been renamed?

Oh man -- I'm dumb.

It's Invoca, not Vocado. I got my Vs, Cs, and Os mixed up from something else :-).

If CallRail isn't going to work out, I think Invoca and DT are going to be the most robust. (EDIT: Adding Marchex to this)

If you need more options, there's also Convirza, CallFire, CallTrackingMetrics, Telmetrics, etc.

I don't know too much about about the capabilities of those guys though, but I'm confident at least one of these guys should be able to get you what you need.

Let me try to get you in contact with someone who might be able to help a little bit more. I'll shoot you a PM later today.

This report might help a bit:
http://downloads.digitalmarketingdep...callanlytc.pdf

This is a bit more geared towards enterprise, but I think most of these guys should also have self-serve Small Business options

Oh fantastic!! Another quality looking provider. Invoca looks really interesting. I am going to have our dev give them a phone call to see if they might work out. I think DT is going to really try to milk us on this project. =/ Our dev mentioned we have a database of around 140,000 in our listings to them and they are going to get back to us with an estimate shortly. But they already neglected to tell us about the self service server. So I am suspecting they are going to get back to us with some pretty high numbers.

Maybe Invoca would be a good option too, I will have that looked into.

I haven't looked at the other 4 you mentioned yet; But I will give them a look at as well.

Thank you so much for the help with that Angle-lytics. Pretty big decision here. DT was even wanting a 12 month contractual commitment, which is something we typically shun really hard. That alone might make them not a good fit. =/ But I feel great that there are more than one option now to look at.

I'll keep my eyes open for any mentioned PM as well. =)

Cheers

EDIT: Marchex's website is totally FUBAR right now. Looks like it was hacked or messed up by their dev or something. Also ublock origin triggered a warning on that site.
