hi all,
just got two questions regarding a corporate website I'm doing at the moment:
1) How can I archive it so that in a few months/years down the track, I can come back and make a comparison and show the client what the differences are and how the traffic and Alexa rank etc have improved?
2) SEO-wise, what would you suggest for this corporate site that has no competition? I mean, it's quite unique in the industry...one of a kind...e.g. there's only one "new york kennedy airport" in the world and there's only one Sydney Opera House...etc...
any help would be much appreciated!
something like this to track keywords in the serps....
http://www.seomoz.org/rank-tracker
as far as the traffic just use getclicky or google ....both track seo traffic well and can give you some really good detailed reporting
as far as suggestion wise....what are you trying to do? Do you want keyword traffic related to a product they are selling aka direct response....or do you want just something that comes up if someone searches the name....
figure that out then start a link building strategy around that....
What do you mean no competition man? If there's demand, there's supply, then there's competition. But yes some markets are pretty unique on its own, can't deny that. You still can propose them service oriented keywords. eg. chartered flight in USA, rent a plane USA etc. Use the terms where people will look for their service, or even, related ones, that's the only way.
Also since you mentioned it's a unique company you can go further proposing "Branding" too.
I'm partnering with a Video production company to propose the "Internet Branding" to local companies which includes Corporate sites, Fan pages, Corporate video, even til the extent of "Email Sales Funnel with videos" like the ones you see from the good ol Frank Kern launches. They'd take it. Do yourself a nice portfolio, and of course best if you have a couple stuff to show them too..
