Native ad platform "Revcontent" stole my account balance of $16,818 (16)

Already solved, I have some misunderstanding with revcontent, thank you for your concern, I have received a full refund

Do they say anything about it in the terms&conditions? Did they warn you about this? I can imagine they de-activate accounts after a while, but with a 16k budget on it I guess they can at least inform you..? There are some revcontent reps around here so I guess they will chime in soon to solve this asap.

I know from other platforms as well that they just take the funds when the accounts are inactive for long time.
I know people where it happened with $400 or so what is also very annoying.
But 16k is too much in my opinion to just take it, I hope you can solve the issue.
What I like to do when I have more or less larger amounts left in my accounts and I don't use them for longer time is to set up a dummy campaign with very low bids, very tight targeting and low volume geo and just keep it running.
That way you spend next to nothing but still account is active.

Something seems off here.

For what reason would you deposit 20k when you were only spending $2-300/day? Your spend remained unchanged afterwards in the days that followed too.

And why is your account name a seemingly random series of numbers?

I spent more than $100,000 on revconternt, and later I spent less because I couldn’t find a profitable campaign.
My account name is my short name and China's mobile number. . .

Thank you for your advice, I may be a little lazy

They didn't cancel the account and didn't warn me, so I think the money is safe. I occasionally log in to see the balance.

Looks like it's in the terms unfortunately, so not sure how much leverage you really have. Hope you're able to get it back none the less.

Any funds still left on deposit over one year after Advertiser has terminated activity on the Revcontent network shall be forfeited to Revcontent.
I strongly dislike companies that do this, and then on top of that to do it without any warning is pretty f'd up for such a large sum. Pretty scummy.

Thanks, I rummaged through the spam, I did not receive any warnings.

Seems like you only got reply from their generic "Support" signed with "Support". Did you have an account manager in there?

And why did you actually deposit $20k in advance? Did they tell you do that? If not, then I really see no reason for such large prepayments.

Based on the other screenshot he posted, on some days he spend more than $1000 so so a deposit of 20k isn't that high.

This is not right for sure, I understand when networks keep a small balance, but 16k is way to much. Do we have a @revcontent rep on the forum?

My account manager had left from revcontent.
And today a revcontent account manager in another AFF forum is communicating with me, but I don't know if this can be solved.
I spend about $ 1,000 per day, and because of foreign exchange controls in China, my credit card is hard to use a lot of dollars, so I recharge enough money by wire transfer.

I think revcontent is a big company, so I have been very reluctant to put the money on it, I also made some money on the revcontent in 2017.

Let's see whether they can help you out. The screens you are posting look fine, so I don't see any reason for them to take your money like this. I know it's in their terms, but still, it's just not right. Of course assuming that all you posted so far was the truth

I definitely agree its really not right at all, I understand the lower amounts but $16k also with no communication? Could of at least sent an email asking if you'd like to continue with RevC or refund the balance if you have spent a decent amount like you've stated too. Anyway would be good to hear from reps there and I know lots of happier users of that company so it still might end okay for you now its spotlight (but exactly as Matuloo said as long as its truthful)
