Voluum: Overage charge @ 0.045/1000 events (6)

Anyone experience that while Voluum offer huge discount on the monthly fee for 12 months package, but do not reduce for the overage charge??? While request to the PIC, she said that voluum do not offer and reduce for the overage charge for the advance package, is this true enough? Currently my package overage charge is 0.045/1000, crazy rate!!!

You are absolutely right. You can actually see how the discounts are applied on our official pricing page, here's the screenshot for the comparison (though I'm sure you're already familiar with it):



The reason why we offer discounts for the basic price and not the overage charge (the price offered for events that exceed the number of events included in your plan) is that tracking overages is one of the first signs your current plan is not the best-fitting one for you - the amount of events you track exceeds the amount it covers.

Our starting point is, our clients, with the assistance of Voluum sales team, choose a plan accordingly to the event amounts they assume to track. We put a lot of care in offering tailor-made plans that consider the type of campaigns, traffic, other needs and business specifics clients have, so that the situation when they track more than their starting plan covers happens as seldom as possible. But it does happen occasionally, our solution then is not to lower the overage charge which does not solve the problem, but offer an upgrade from the starting plan to one with larger number of included events.

If you wish, PM me your Voluum login e-mail - I'll check the numbers you track - it might be that the plan you are currently on doesn't pay off when you consider the amount of overages you track monthly and there is different one we can offer. Though as I've said, cutting the overage charge is not the solution we go for.
