So I came across this today: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fundr...Banner_testing
This is all the split testing data wiki has collected during their fundraising campaigns. There is a ton a great stuff here in terms of what gets people to click and pull out their credit cards.
Note: notice how the "personal appeal from jimmy" ad destroyed their other banners in terms of ctr and conversions. Also note how much their conversions improved by having separate buttons for creditcards and paypal.
Thanks! Great info here
That is DETAILED! thanks for this, the seperate CC + paypal button comparison was cool
That was an awesome study. It's good to know that they give a fuck about testing shit and read into the data.
Great info!
After a little digging around it looks like you can find info on the 2011 fundraiser here http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fundraising_2011 I checked 2008 and 2009 and they don't have as detailed info.
