How to create and manage Facebook Audience - Casino niche example

Hey, guys, let’s talk about Facebook Audience.
Unfortunately, I can’t share any cases right now, but I will review this question on an example in details. Plus, you can reach me in Telegram @cassshy) for questions about farming, warm-up strategies, how to get working payment solutions with reasonable prices, how to manage your media buying team etc.

Before creating an Audience, you need to spend $50-$100 for running engagement video campaign for the GEO you are you going to use for BH campaign. You will understand why later...

Before choosing the Audience you need to ask yourself:

  1. What’s your targeting audience;
  2. What’s your monthly budget;

Let’s take a project - “online slots” (casino).
This vertical has a huge potential here on Facebook with a huge variety of GEOs and payout models. If you are not familiar with this niche and you’re running on a low budget <$10,000 monthly - find some good CPL offer (let me know if you need one). You will be able to test your audience and angles within one-two weeks with not so big loses.

So, thinking a lil bit (plus I have a pal working product manager in one of the online casinos) about possible leads I have created the list:

  1. Moms with lil kids (they are playing like crazy
  2. Clerks or any other office job
  3. State service employees (they are boring on work, so they are playing, plus, they have a wallet next to them to deposit)
  4. Retired people (if we’re running for Tier 1, I had few cases for CH - one old lady (I was told) made 500$+ deposits. I wish I had RevShare that time lol;

Then I am going to use the Facebook Audience Insights tool.
I am going to use some default filters for a start:
Canada
Online casino

Regarding the list of suggestions I got:
Slotomania
Online Poker
Slot machine
Poker stars
888 casino
Roulette

Ask your AM to setup your FB pixel on a Landing Page (LP)
In the future I am going to add these Audiences:

  1. Retargeting to LP visitors;
  2. Retargeting to those who watched 50% of video;
  3. Lookalike for LP visitors minus leads;
  4. Lookalike for leads;
  5. Lookalike for 3 sec video viewers;
  6. Lookalike for 50% video viewers;

REMINDER: I am offering casino customs/lookalike audience based on real players for sale here: https://stmforum.com/forum/showthread.php?42216-facebook-custom-audience-lookalike-sale-casino-niche-318-roi

We are going to launch it as follows:
Canada
Facebook mobile news feed
Facebook desktop news feed

I am going to add all Audiences into each campaign.
We have a payout for CA - $15. So my KPI for a lead cost must be lower than 8$ (to get (100% ROI and less than $5 to get 200% ROI) and, just in case of decreasing the payout, plus accounts cost and other spendings.

I set up a daily budget at $100 for each ads group. There will be 3 ads in each group.

We need to start our campaigns at 00:01...and go to bed and rest well.

Often, we can get first results for the next morning and turn some ads off, but wait, it’s time for optimization on ads level. What does it mean? If you are not a 100% newbie, you may know that sometimes for no reason, fb doesn’t provide traffic for some of your ads. That’s why we need to check what ads have to spend 30-45$ with no conversions- turn them off. If you have some ads with 60-70$ spend with 1 conversion - turn them off as well.

Next time we will check our campaign at 12:30. We keep optimizing on ads level the whole day.

If you have noticed there are no conversions in groups with 70$+ spend - turn them off.

From the next day, we need to select the groups with the best results and raise the budget at 00:01 for 20-40%. Do not raise the budget x2 - your CPC can fly away into the sky. Budgets can also be decreased in case if one of your ad groups started to perform worse than before. If this didn’t work out, turn this group off for 2 days. Launch it again, if you still have bad cr, try to change your creatives/prelander.

You can create a Lookalike audience with a first 2000 LP visitors, use it with your optimized campaigns.

Hi Cassshy, nice share, but if we share audiences across facebook accounts, does it will be notice by FB and ban the accounts, because we run BH campaigns.

I’d recommend you to have one master account (no ads running on it), just for sharing the audience

We’ve tested this extensively for casino and found that coming in with specific targeting raises the CPM significantly vs running broad and letting the pixel find an audience. This is more for viral angles however.

There are a massive amount of whitelisted advertisers running compliant slots with Facebook directly, casino audience is hella expensive and you’ll be competing directly from the start with brands.

None of the reputable brands are going to allow a script pixel sadly, apart from what I expect is your $15 cpl

Just my 2 cents at least.

Be great to see what’s shared, but be sure to ensure it’s all stuff you’ve originally created, written etc - otherwise not yours to out

You could, but I wouldn't recommend. Try to seperate all aspects as much as possible so FB can't find any trends, similarities or tracks which might cause a ban. Think about seperate domains, cc's, creatives, pixels, audiences etc.
But yeah some guys use their trained pixel for all accounts.

Baron is absolutely right!
You need to be smarter that fb, do not create any behavioral patterns.
As for me i am using one account for creating and sharing audiences - have no issues till this time
