Dynamic CPC: Cost Tracking

On networks like Zeropark, Propeller, where you can set CPC per zone, how do you guys track the costs? In most of the trackers, also Binom which I use, you can set CPC per campaign, but since networks like Zeropark allow to set CPC per zones, the cpc is no longer on campaign level, but per placement, and seems there is no way to configure in the tracker to have different CPC per placement token.
One way would be to move those placements to a new camp and set the new cpc there, but maybe there is better way, trying to avoid running cost updates all the time to match the cost for those zones.

Keeping accurate cost tracking on campaign / publisher level through a tracker only is not possible.

The best way to do it would be by using a campaign management platform like TheOptimizer Mobile where besides accurate cost & revenue reporting from multiple traffic sources in one place, you have the possibility to save quite a lot of time using rule-based automatic optimization to safeguard your ad spent.

For the cost tracking just use the cost token from the trafficsources (when they support it) and set cost tracking in Binom to auto.
Propeller has a cost token, Zeropark has no cost token as far as I know.
Also set a % of clickloss in your tracker for more accurate numbers.

As mentioned above, it's not possible to track all sources with 100% accuracy by any tracker. If you really need this, you can use excel or some similar program, pull the csv reports from both the traffic source and the tracker and compare the numbers. It required more advanced level of excel skills, since you need to sort the data properly, but it's doable.

What I'm doing is to simply use the average cost per click ... Check the spend on source, check the amount of clicks recorded by the tracker and divide them. When doing optimizations, it's necessary to realize it's just an average, so in case of +/- 0% ROI, I dive deeper and check the exact cost on the source.

This is correct, we don't support dynamic tokens for this - as of today dynamic reporting is available only for Voluum tracker. When using another tracking solution you need to use manual cost tracking. Zeropark and Voluum are backend integrated which results in dynamic cost tracking and an immediate data sharing.

Anyways, wanted to let you know that I passed this feedback to our tech and product teams. As soon as I have an ETA for such a development, I will follow-up on this thread.
