It seems there are two ways to go if you want flash banners.
1. Hire someone to do it.
2. Do it yourself.
I know it's sacrilege to some in this business, but I'm not a fan of (1) in general because I like to be able to make changes myself, I hate waiting on people, and I hate wasting money on shoddy work.
However, when it comes to Flash, (2) seems extremely daunting. Does anyone have experience creating their own flash banners? Do I really have to buy Adobe Flash to do it? Are there any good tools that make it easier?
If not, can anyone recommend a good place to buy flash banners / hire a freelancer to create them? Guessing oDesk or the like is a good bet?
Thanks,
Chris
Agree, would love to see some ideas/templates for loading html or xml pages into a flash file so geo-ip scripts in the ad could be done or even make 3 small ads in one 728 leaderboard with each one linking out to different urls.
I will pay good money for tutorials on:
-how to best format a flash banner for web viewing (which version of flash to use, and other aspects)
-how to add a user's geolocation to flash banners
-how to add the current date and time to a flash banner
-how to add clicktags to flash banners to get them to work with display networks
