Here's one campaign that has made me a steady $200/day for a couple months.
You can replicate the same idea to promote a variety of different offers.
This campaign was built for a Crush offer (US) that got pulled a few weeks ago.
I was running it on AdOn Network and biding on facebook.com , .facebook.com , facebook.com/ and a few other variations.
Here's is the landing page I used :

This landing page got a solid 20% CTR all the time with no drops.
My frequency cap was set 1 view every 7 days.
As you can see there is no need to bid on hundreds of urls to be profitable.
Just pick a target with high volume and build the landing page around it.
I haven't tested this with other Crush offers but I've heard that the Pure Crush ( can find it at MundoMedia ) is converting pretty good. Give that a try!
Also I have a feeling this can be profitable with facebook app installs offers.
I'm not running this anymore so you can test it and make some profit immediately.
This should be used as an inspiration to come with your own angles.
Let me know if you have any questions.
P.S Don't try to port this over at Leadimpact and TrafficVance without a proper and optimized server. It will crash in a couple minutes!
Exactly why they call you the PPV King!
I thought you couldn't bid on facebook.com on LI?
... but you can bid on facebook.com/login.php , facebook.com/index.php , facebook.com/home.php etc etc .
just out of curiosity, how many views did you get avg a day from adon on this?
Dont remember exact number but I was spending around $250-$300 / day
i dread to think how much profit you would make doing this on traffic vance if you have a server that can handle it
holy crap, $250-$300 on adon? i really need to get back there, i didn't run anything there for quite some time, in past iti was hard to spend $30 a day on RON like targets
Haha yeah , but you wont get 0.005 bids on trafficvance for facebook.com .
I tested this on LeadImpact but my LP CTR was around 10%.
That's because server started to slow down after 5mins.
I split tested using a CDN and still couldn't get profitable.
It's tough to handle facebook.com traffic without slowing down...
If you can find a way to get a 20% CTR on LI you will REALLY bank.
I've not really jumped into ppv, had a few goes at traffic vance but I'm guessing thats not the best place to learn and get started?
@bbrock32 dude thx for info on adon finally has some volume.
btw. on LI well it depends, on high traffic, like real high traffic, like facebook.com/whatever it's f* hard to get solid CTR, the real CTR, because they have some issues there with views discrepancies.. but on medium-high traffic targets its nothing fancy to get over 20% ctr, and yes, it banks, and it banks well.
do you think this campaign would work on TV or LI with setting the freq cap to once every 30 days?
did you map the cdn to your root?
I noticed faster times when i did this.....as the whole site loads of the cdn
@bbrock32
You using 202 for tracking on PPV? We built out a super light, self optimizing, script to handle PPV (about to go into production) as we found out that 202 was just way to bloated with cute icons and Spy features. Load balancers, a real database and nginx are a must.
Did you optimize the campaign by removing partners that send you poor converting traffic on Adon?
If your thinking of pushing facebook dating apps (like flirt and cupid) with PPV and this style lander watch your traffic quality. Keep close to your AM and make sure they confirm they are happy with it.
solid post. landers that resemble the target pwn on PPV
@sntr
Exactly! For facebook.com clicks discrepancy varied from 30%-35%. Pretty difficult to be profitable after that.
@ben565
It's not about the frequency cap , it's about handling the load and click discrepancies.
@polarbacon
not sure what you mean. I served only images / css / js from the CDN. The php files were served from my server
@winley
Awesome! I was thinking of coding my own thing but looks you are far ahead. Would love to try it out. Just yesterday crashed my server bidding on google.com
( I'm using nginx + php-fpm + apc + tweaked mysql )
@Nigel
Yes , I tracked partnerids using prosper's c1-c4 variables. However most of them were converting so cut out only a few.
hmmmm, this just spawned an idea. Throwing up a campaign now. I'll update you with some numbers soon
Hey,
What about all the crush offers? Is there still a good converting one in the networks?
@lacruz
I haven't tested any lately but I've heard that Pure Crush is doing really good.
It's nice to see my landers inspiring people haha... As for being profitable on Leadimpact, I personally killed it for months but all of the high volume targets have now been permanently disapproved by Leadimpact.
I got the idea of this campaign from a popup on a movie streaming site. I modified it to run on PPV.
Had no idea someone else was running this on LI. That's why it didn't convert for me lol.
Looks like Leadimpact has disabled quite some high volume targets ( bank sites mostly )
Ha ha, I am totally lost. Sorry.
Is there like a Nooblets guide on AddOn Network??
What do you guys mean LI disapproved some high volume targets? Like what specifically
And this campaign sparked an idea!
@shardul
Coming with a guide soon .
Once you sing up you have to choose contextual targetting and popunder in the traffic type.
Thanks for nice guide. Is it possible to get .psd file of that landing?
Thanks in advance.
the .psd file would be awesome as i want to test something similar
lol ok here is the translation:
built awesome platform, bought ads from text message peeps, $$$
couldn't you get into trouble with the affiliate network for using the word "facebook" in your ad?
hahah omg ive used a landing page that looks almost identical to that targeting facebook.com and variations on Trafficvance, promoting a FB App Install!
Except I used apps.facebook.com and facebook.com/pages/ as targets, because they don't allow facebook.com. Still a ton of traffic though!
